Over the last three days, this number has rung me up 13 times. They said they’re from some government department and kept trying to set up a meeting with an IFA to talk about my pension choices. Honestly, it feels like a total scam to me!

He paused then said he was with the gov pensions, moving private pensions around to get the best deal (yeah right, as if the government really cares about us when we retire lol) and wanted my info. I told him to tell me what info he had on me. got the pension company wrong, next one wrong, then another wrong, and even the pension amount was off. I told him i keep my money with phishing-scammers and thieves Ltd and then he just hung up. I wonder why...

The phone rang and when it finally picked up after what felt like forever, all I could hear was a bunch of men from Manchester having some sort of shouting match. This number buzzes me several times a day, but as soon as I pick up, they just hang straight away. They've been ringing my partner too, leaving messages about something called “Industrial Hearing Loss”. Just now, I decided to ring them back and got a recorded message, again mentioning “Industrial Hearing Loss”. When a woman finally answered, she just said “hello?” without any proper intro or explaining how they got my details. I could hear a TV in the background, which was odd - not like a typical call centre hum at all. I asked her to remove my number from their list, no idea how they got it in the first place, and she just said “okay” and hung up immediately. Feels really sketchy to me! The number is 0121 732 9938.

01217329938 keeps ringing me two or three times daily - both on my mobile and landline. I've managed to block them on the landline, but they just call twice then hang up. Can't block the mobile, which is really annoying. If you try calling back on the mobile, it charges 25p a minute, so definitely avoid that. They’re supposedly on the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. If this is a UK number, their behaviour is definitely not lawful.

He told me that their records showed I hadn’t got paid for over 5 years for some work I did with machine tools way back in 1961. When I asked them where they got their info from or who keeps the records, he had no clue and just ended the call.

They rang me up asking if I’d worked in a loud factory setting before. Knew my name straight away, so they must've got info from somewhere. I just told them I wasn’t interested in what they were trying to sell or talk about.

Received a call where the person asked for me by name, saying either me or my husband (he said his name too) had been in the industry. He claimed he got our number from some national workers list and that we could claim compensation for hearing damage from a past employer for not following the 1963 law that requires ear protection at work. Total nonsense! I told him we’re on the TPS and asked him to take us off his list. The bloke, Nigel, insisted he’d take care of it!

I just recieved a call from these lot out of the blue. They claimed they got my phone number from some National Workers Database and wanted to chat with Mr (My surname). When I told them there’s never been a Mr (My surname) here and asked why they wanted to talk to him, the guy said it was because he’d worked in a factory before! The whole thing made no sense. It ended with him saying he’d call back tomorrow to speak with my husband. Thats a call I’m definitely not picking up. No clue where they actually got my number from, but it’s certainly not from the place he said!
