I got a call from someone claiming to be “Susan” who said she was from Bristol, but the phone number had a Birmingham area code! Plus, there was a really strong foreign accent. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

My wife got a call from this woman with an Indian accent, and she already knew our names. The lady claimed it wasn’t a sales pitch but started asking how old my wife was. My missus ended the call pretty quick once she realised they didn’t know who they were actually chatting with.

She kept insisting the company was called Verso and tried to hold me on the line, insisting it was just a survey and they weren’t trying to sell me anything. But honestly, it all sounded like nonsense and gave me a really dodgy vibe. Didn’t trust them at all, so I hung up pretty quick and blocked the number straight away.
