Similar to others, there are always the same lies and the same response. The best solution, if you are a customer of BT, is to dial 1572 and add the unwanted number to your personal blacklist. This method has proven to be effective.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent doing some sort of survey. I told him my number’s registered with the TPS so I shouldn’t be getting any random calls. An individual with an Asian accent phoned to inquire about a survey. I informed them that our number was listed on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), which prevents us from receiving unsolicited calls. However, the individual responded dismissively, implying that it didn't matter and proceeded to rudely lecture me. Fed up with the harassment and persistence, I swiftly ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent, said his name was Michael. He kept asking for my missus, and when I asked why he was ringing, he told me he was from Platinum Supermarket. So, this just happened to me - I got a call from a bloke named ‘Richard’ saying he was calling about benefits. I just cut him off and hung up. Then, he calls me right back asking why I ended the call! I told him straight up he was being dishonest. We had a bit of a back and forth, where he actually called me stupid! So I told him I was about to hang up, and then did exactly that. You won’t believe it, he called yet again! This time he accused me of having no manners, so I hung up for good. Honestly, these guys are something else.

What on earth is the purpose of calling someone just to hang up without uttering a word? It's incredibly frustrating! The only silver lining is knowing they’re the ones footing the bill for a call that goes nowhere - at least we escape without any charges! How perplexing! - caller: Beats me!

Between the dates of 4th June 2019 and 7th June 2019, I have received a total of seven phone calls from this particular number. Each call has been made by individuals with non-English accents claiming to be from a company called "My Benefits." These individuals insist on asking me a series of questions. It is quite evident to me that this is a fraudulent scheme and I am fully aware of their intentions.

Got a call from someone with an Indian/Asian accent asking for a Mr something or other, but that’s definitely not me. Told them they’re breaking the law by cold calling, especially since we’re on the TPS, and warned I’d report the number. They started shouting down the phone! Naturally, I shouted back a bit. We’ve had loads of calls like this, each time someone looking for different names - seems like they’re just trying to fish out info or something. Proper shady behaviour if you ask me.

Today, on 7 June 2019, I received a call at my elderly mother's house. The person on the other end had an Indian accent that was quite difficult to understand. They asked me to verify the house number, address, and postcode. I tried explaining multiple times that we do not appreciate such calls and that I didn't know who they were. I informed them that we had registered my mother's number to avoid unknown calls, but the person insisted that they weren't breaking any laws. Despite my resistance, they continued persisting and asked for our age range. I firmly refused to provide any personal information, and subsequently, the caller abruptly ended the call.

Got a call today, 7 June, from someone with a strong Indian accent, which made it hard to follow. I told them this number belongs to an elderly person and we have it on a do-not-call list, so these calls shouldn't be happening. The caller sounded nice enough but kept pushing. He claimed he wasn’t doing anything illegal, but never really explained why he needed me to verify the address and approximate age. When I asked him to take the number off his list, he just ended the call.

I received a call from a woman with a potential Asian or Indian accent, who identified herself as a representative from "Platinum Supermarket". It was quite surprising to receive this call, considering the fact that I have signed up for the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). She insisted on verifying my identity by asking for personal information, such as my date of birth, address, and postcode. When I questioned her about the purpose of her call, she mentioned that she had a £25 voucher for me. Feeling dubious about the situation, I decided to end the call promptly.
