They rang me three separate times but every time, the call just got cut off.

These lot have been ringing me non stop, every day without fail. I’d pick up and tell them off pretty bluntly, but that didn’t stop the calls. So eventually I started ringing them back loads of times, giving them a piece of my mind until they blocked my number. Now when I try, it says it’s not in service. I’m not stopping though, I’ll keep at it till they get the message to leave me alone.

Calls like these are just trying to trick you into giving away personal details so they can take out loans in your name using your info.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC on 0121 4683294 with an Indian accent. They told me I was going to be taken to court over unpaid tax, which isn’t right at all. The bloke said his name was Jim Cook - doesn’t sound very Indian to me. When I asked him to explain the issue, he just hung up, probably because I kept grilling him. Seems like it was a scam trying to scare me into handing over money.

Received a couple of calls today from someone claiming that our computer was compromised and vulnerable to fraud. They were quite persistent, trying to extract information from both my wife and me. We adamantly refused, yet they just wouldn’t take no for an answer and eventually we had to hang up on them. It was a right hassle to shake them off, and I’d strongly advise steering clear of these characters!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Microsoft tech support team. When I requested a contact number for Microsoft, he provided me with this one. No doubt in my mind this is a scam; I've confirmed that the official Microsoft helpline is a toll-free number.

My father fell victim to this scam and ended up shelling out £79 yesterday, believing they would put an end to all those pesky nuisance calls. He’s come to realise it was a mistake to share his card details, but that's what occurs when one is a tad too trusting or perhaps a bit gullible. It’s quite disheartening for him, to say the least.

My elderly parents got a call from this number trying to push Call Guardian on them for a £49 one time payment. When I told them it was a nuisance call and not interested, they actually had the nerve to say I was being rude. Then, they went ahead and rang me again after I hung up!

A man from India phoned me earlier, but the company name he mentioned was a bit unclear - I think it was something like Calls Guard. He mentioned part of a number linked to a replacement credit card, which I had to get after a suspicious transaction showed up on my old card. I told him I was tied up at the moment and asked for his contact number so I could verify things before proceeding, and he gave me a number. After reading through the stuff here, I’ve now called and requested a fresh account once more!

So, I received a call today where they tried to fish for my bank information, claiming it would help me stop those pesky nuisance calls! I ended up keeping them on the line for a good twenty minutes, feeding them completely fabricated info-what a hoot! Honestly, you've just got to chuckle at their audacity!

A chap claiming to be from Call Guardian reached out to me, purporting to be associated with a call blocking service. He rattled off all my debit card information and requested that I confirm the last three digits from the back of my card. Naturally, I flatly refused. He then went on to state that they required a £75 one-off payment to prevent nuisance calls. I categorically declined and informed this gentleman of Indian descent that I had absolutely no plans to pay anything, before swiftly ending the call. Subsequently, I contacted my bank and have since cancelled my card, as advised by them during our conversation.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from Call Guardian. He said he already had my bank card info and asked for the CVV on the back - obviously, I didn’t share that. He then wanted me to pay £75 once to stop nuisance calls. I made it clear I wouldn’t be paying and ended the call. After that, I rang Lloyds and they suggested cancelling my card, which I’ve just done.

Some scammer rang my elderly aunt, who’s got Alzheimer’s, claiming they were offering something called a Call Guardian. They somehow got her card details and then charged £59, but she didn’t actually buy anything real. I had to get the card cancelled straight away. Why isn’t the government cracking down on this to keep folk safe, whether they’re vulnerable or not? Feels like the whole country’s just giving up, honestly!

An elderly relative of mine got a call from someone claiming they worked to block unwanted calls. They said they already had his credit card info and gave him the first 4 digits, 4508, asking him to confirm the rest. Turns out, it was a scam. Thankfully, the bank managed to cancel the card afterwards.

Got a call from some scammer who tricked my elderly mum into giving out her debit card info. Had to cancel her card straight away - what a mess! Watch out for these types! When I rang them to tell them the card was cancelled, they just hung up on me. Then they rang back from a new number saying they wouldn’t charge anything. I’ve also reported the whole thing to NatWest now.

First they kept wanting to talk to the last person living here, clearly a sales call. When I told them they’d moved out, they just hung up. Then another caller rings back. Proper irritating and honestly... really cheeky!

I got a call from some company called TRS. The person on the phone asked me to confirm my name and where I live, then said they were worried I'd been sold the wrong pension plans. I just told them not to bother me. This isn't the first time I’ve had a call like that, so it’s clear there’s some kind of list going around.
