Just had a right laugh with some bloke ringing me up about a dodgy claim I’d supposedly made online about a crash. Asked where their main office was; they said Birmingham. I said that’s a huge area, then they gave me a London address but with a Birmingham postcode. Just keep in mind, the longer you tie them up, the less chance they have to bother someone who might actually fall for their scams.

They said they were ringing for someone else who had a little accident with me and wanted to sort payment. Claimed to be calling from South Africa but the number showed up as Birmingham. Told them to take me off their list as they kept ringing my mobile. Total rubbish, just spam for sure.

Got a call on my mobile from someone saying they were crash investigators, mentioned the DVLA too. I asked when I’d asked them to contact me, which seemed to catch him off guard. He then got a bit rude, asking if I knew who I was talking to. I asked to speak to his manager, but he just kept repeating if I didn’t know who he was, trying to sound important. I asked again firmly for a manager, and he said he didn’t have one. I told him I'd find it very doubtful that a firm working with the DVLA wouldn’t have a manager. I ended the call and blocked the number. Sounds like a scam to me.
