Picked up the phone and this woman told me she had details about a crash I was supposedly in, which wasn’t my fault. Could hardly make out what she was saying, so I just told her that wasn’t true and then she hung up on me.

Cheers to everyone who shared their thoughts. I didn’t pick up as I was a bit wary. This isn’t the first time a firm rang about some made-up crash. The most recent was from the national accident helpline, and the person on the phone couldn’t quite believe I hadn’t been in an accident! I was under the impression these kinds of cold calls were banned now.

I answered a call from a number I didn’t recognise and they just went straight to hanging up. It’s a bit unsettling, honestly. I’m not sure how they got hold of my contact. Definitely don’t like these mystery calls.

Got a ring on my phone from this number today. Since I've only shared my number with close mates and family, I'm really scratching my head about how they got it. I received a call earlier today from a Birmingham area code, 0121 364 2012. I ended the call straight away when I picked up. Decided to call back and got put on hold with some music playing. Eventually, a woman with a strong northern or scouse accent (certainly not Brummie) answered and told me she was from Bristol Street Motors. I told her they’d called me first and asked who exactly was ringing. She kept apologising for the call and promised to check why it had been made to me in the first place. Not too convinced by that though!
