I had a rather articulate chap on the phone claiming to represent some sort of Energy Consulting firm - the name slips my mind at the moment. He mentioned my loft insulation was outdated, according to an official government database, and it should be swapped out. Naturally, I probed him for further information regarding this register and his role, but he quickly changed his tune, wished me well, and hung up. It had all the hallmarks of a potential scam, if you ask me.
