Got a call from someone saying they were from Medic Alert, but all they gave was the name ‘John’, which felt off straight away. When I asked how they got my details, they just wouldn’t tell me. Got a call about some medical alert pendant, claiming I qualified for one. I told the bloke I wasn’t interested and just hung up. It’s shocking how these scammers are out here targeting older folks and those who are vulnerable. They really should be tracked down and made to pay for this awful behaviour.

Beware of SCAMS! If you wanna help, look up ‘action fraud’ on Google and head to the official police.uk website. There’s a section called ‘report a phishing attempt’ - you should take some time to read all the info there. After that, put in the details of the scam straight into their database. This is really the best way the police can track these fraudsters and see how widespread these scams are.

I would strongly advise you to block this number. The caller didn't bother to ask for my name and rather abruptly informed me that I was eligible for some complimentary pendant. He claimed to be from National Health England, yet when I started questioning him, he just cut the conversation short and hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me! Not even a single inquiry about my age!

Bit suspicious, got a call about a medical alert bracelet, reckon they might’ve got our phone from the NHS or ambulance service? My mum’s had a few falls recently and needed an ambulance so it’s a bit fishy. The person on the phone kept grilling me about being over 50 and if I had anything organised in case I fell down. When I asked how they got my info, he said he’d only been with the company a short while and his boss had given him a list of people to call. I asked to chat with the manager to check where they sourced the list from. After waiting a bit, he came back and said he couldn’t assist me, then just hung up. Feels like a dodgy sales pitch to me. Best to block the number for sure.
