I got a call the other day about my house and care home fees. It sounded dodgy straight away, like they were tryin to scam me. Be careful out there, these calls might be trying to grab your info to take advantage of you. Don’t trust anyone who starts talking about your home and care costs out of the blue.

Somebody phoned about supposed new government regulations for property owners. It was clear they were trying to scam me, so I just ended the call.

I got a call from 01208227200, some bloke with an English accent claiming to be from Care Home Solutions. He was asking if we wanted to keep the equity in our house if we ended up going into a care home, saying something about new changes in the government laws. As usual with any cold call like this, we just said no thanks and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 'government rules and regulations' saying there were some changes. I ended the call right there. Then, while I was out, this number rang again but my answerphone took it. The bloke repeated the same intro before just hanging up.

Got a call out of the blue from someone saying they could give me tips on avoiding losing my house to pay for care home fees. I asked where they got my number from and they claimed it was from some government list I supposedly signed up to. Felt really dodgy to me. Then when I asked what info they actually had on me, the bloke just hung up straight away. Definitely didn't trust it.

Some bloke was going on about how you can’t avoid selling your house to cover care home costs. I told him I’d actually worked with the council on that sort of stuff before, and there’s no way they can make you sell your home for care fees. I had a bit more to explain, but he quickly said sorry for annoying me and just hung up!
