On the 30th of October, 2021, I received a call from an unfamiliar number. Didn't bother to respond as it seemed completely unsolicited. I'm pretty certain it’s just a dodgy spam call.

I chose not to pick up the phone, but after glancing through the multitude of comments and noticing that it’s flagged as “a landline, searched over 1,292 times since 1 September,” I reckon I dodged a bullet with this potential scam that so many others have warned about!

Received a call purportedly from Carphone Warehouse, though it wasn’t from a shop nearby. They were peddling some offer on a phone contract. The call came through on my mobile, but considering I don’t share my number and have never had a contract with them, I’m pretty convinced this is a dodgy operation. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

I had a rather odd phone call from a chap, possibly of Indian or Bangladeshi descent, who seemed a tad intoxicated. His voice was reminiscent of that quirky Crazy Frog character. I've had enough of his nonsense and gone ahead and blocked his number. The call came through on the 14th of September at around a quarter to one.

I didn’t pick up when they called, but I can say with certainty that it’s spam. The phone rang incessantly for a good half a minute before they hung up. Quite the nuisance, really!

Received a rather pushy sales pitch from CarPhone Warehouse, where the chap was keen on offloading a bargain basement phone to me. He seemed quite irked that I gave him the cold shoulder and wasn’t tempted to take his low-cost offer.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Steven from Carphone Warehouse. However, his accent was quite distinctly Asian. When I informed him that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service and shouldn’t be receiving such calls, he didn’t seem to take the hint and kept on chatting. Eventually, I decided enough was enough and ended the conversation.
