Got a call from someone claiming to be from a covid-19 helpline, saying they were doing a government survey about whether my life insurance covers covid. On the second call, I asked why they needed to know how much I pay for my policy if they weren’t selling anything. The guy said it helps them figure out if I’m covered for covid. The first time I hung up on them, but they called back. When I wasn’t cooperating, he ended the call. On the next call, I nicely said I wasn’t interested in doing the survey, but he kept pushing for my provider’s name. I had to ask him again, what part of “I don’t want to answer” don’t you get? I then refused to talk further and cut him off. After blocking both numbers, they just switched to a new one.

Got another call from someone with an Indian accent, claiming to be from Credit Suisse about some debt I supposedly owe. When I questioned him, he just hung up - classic scammer move. These phone numbers should definitely be blocked and reported to the authorities. I bet if an elderly person answered, they’d fall for it and get scammed badly. Seems like these folks don’t know the meaning of honest work, despite coming from a place that was meant to be full of promise.
