Received a call from this number earlier. I kept pressing them on how they got hold of my details, but they refused to say. What really freaked me out was when they mentioned my address - that’s when I decided to block them straight away.

I picked up the phone and a really polite voice asked if I knew someone called Diego Salav. I told them I had no idea who that was, and they just said ‘Alright then’ before I ended the call. I’ve had scam calls before where they ask for different names and then try to rope you in by saying ‘maybe you can assist’. Some bloke rang saying he was from a property firm, even knew my name and the start of my address. He talked about fixing issues with the property, but when I asked if they worked with the council, he got a bit shirty and told me they didn’t. I told him it was a cold call and he kinda got defensive. I cut the call pretty quick after that. I didn’t really give away much, but probably said enough to clue him in. It’s so easy to get caught out with these calls, but honestly, a legit company wouldn’t do this sort of thing. Best to steer clear.
