Got a ring from this number earlier today. The lady on the line said she was working as a Senior Conservation Officer for Dorset Council, not someone selling insulation. She went on about some new government rules and said I qualified for a free insulation inspection because apparently I had insulation done through a government programme back in 2010. Which I never did, mind you. When I mentioned that, she seemed surprised and insisted her records showed otherwise. Honestly, I reckon this was a scam call. Best to just ignore it if you spot this number popping up.

Got a call from 01202942339, a woman claiming to be from Folkestone Council and sounded really convincing. She was asking for a person who's never actually lived at my address, but their name seems to pop up on various cold call lists. When I pointed this out, she just hung up on me straight away.

Got a ring from this number earlier on, some bloke claiming he was with the council and offering a loft survey that might qualify for a government grant. He wanted to pop round tomorrow but I told him I’m tied up and that I’d call back to set something up - though I doubt I will. He gave me the number 0800 0029932 and said his name was Mr Atwood. When I looked up the number, it’s nothing to do with the council, just a business that deals with insulation based in Poole. Their place is called QUALITY HOME ISOLUTIONS at 5 Alum Chime Road, Westbourne, Poole, Dorset, BH4 8DT.

He somehow already had my name and where I live. He kept going on about insulation stuff for ages.
