I looked it up and found tons of people complaining about it online. So many folks are blocking it now, and I’m joining them. Somebody called me trying to push some products, I told them straight up I can't afford anything and that as I’m disabled, it wouldn’t even be any use to me. They just ignored what I said and kept going on, so I just ended the call lol. Can I ask about this website where we report these calls? We all share our phone stories and I’d like to think they get seen by someone who actually does something about it. Do you really look into these callers and take action? I mean, what’s the point of giving you all these details if nothing happens? Just a thought.

For the past few months, this number keeps ringing my home phone and mobile, sometimes early in the morning around 8 and then again throughout the day until late evening. Definitely a robo call. When I left it, it dropped straight to voicemail and all I caught was the last bit of some recorded spiel. The machine didn’t even pause for a beep before talking. These calls are so annoying, I barely pick up my phone anymore. I’m blocking them as best I can, but I’m certain they’ll just call from somewhere else next time.

somebody phoned claiming to be from the individual protection service, saying they’d stop all cold calls at no cost. i told her to hang on a sec while i 'googled’ them. what came up made me think these folks promising to block calls were likely dodgy. i explained to the woman that the individual protection service got pretty bad reviews, so no thanks i wouldn’t be accepting their deal. she just sounded a bit let down, saying “oh” quietly. felt a bit sorry for her but i ended the call anyway.

Someone rang and claimed to be from a government agency, trying to convince me to stop cold calls. I was a bit suspicious and told them my number was already signed up with the TPS. Then they told me to click a link on the TPS site to double-check, but when I pressed for more info, they just hung up. They sounded nice enough, but I’d say it’s best to register with TPS yourself since it’s free, and definitely don’t share any personal info like your email with cold callers.

someone who said her name was destiny phoned me, claiming to be from some ip service that stops calls and emails. she gave me a website to check out but when i said id look into it she just hung up. felt a bit dodgy to me, especially since she wanted my email. i told her no and i’d check them out first. had a look online and saw loads of warnings, so i blocked the number straight away.
