It's another one of those housing association damage scams. If you've got time, play along with them, feed them loads of bogus details and keep them chatting thinking they’re hitting the jackpot. The more you stall them, the less likely they'll trick some poor elderly person. Honestly, wasting their time is the best way to fight back.

Said they were from Social Housing but the number was blocked - total scammer for sure.

Supposedly from social housing, they had my name, mobile, and even my address. The weird part is I actually own my own home.

Got a random phone call from some Indian call centre about a 'social housing surveyor scheme' or something like that. Didn’t really say much or give away any details - felt dodgy, probably a scam or some sort of fraud attempt. Didn’t hang around to figure out exactly what it was.

I got a call that sounded like one of those NHS automated messages, you know, the ones that remind you about your hospital booking. It was asking if I’m still good for my appointment on the 7th of Jan. That’s spot on since I do have it booked for exactly that date and time. So yeah, no worries, it’s definitely not a dodgy call or a scam or anything suspicious.

I got a call from a woman claiming she was with the Housing Association asking if I had any damp issues as a tenant. I told her I actually own the property and then she just hung up. It makes me wonder, how on earth do they get hold of our phone numbers?
