We've had quite enough of these utterly ridiculous calls from individuals with their phoney identities! Thankfully, we’ve taken the plunge and invested in a trio of the BT4600 Advanced Nuisance Call Blocker phones for just £74.48 - with speedy delivery to boot. (You can snag just one for a much lower price at the BT Shop!) The setup couldn’t be simpler, allowing us to grant access to familiar numbers without a hitch, while everyone else receives that delightful 'your call is not welcome' message. So, to you, Patrick, Tom, Chris, and Tracy - take a long walk off a short pier! We can only hope you sad lot are perusing these comments to keep yourselves entertained!

I've had three calls from Chris, who sounds quite British. He keeps rambling on about loft insulation, but every time I mention that I live in a ground floor flat, he just chuckles and hangs up. It's quite baffling, really!

Honestly, I couldn’t make out what they were asking, something about ‘which company are you ringing from or are you just cold calling?’ It was clear enough though, I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

I can’t shake off the feeling that this is all a bit dodgy.

I've been relentlessly bombarded by the same automated voice during those annoying calls. Just yesterday, I received five messages on my phone promoting a "complimentary medical alert." Strangely enough, this is the exact same voice that has been nagging me for weeks about needing to sort out my loft insulation. It’s become a daily occurrence, often receiving as many as ten calls in a single day! Each time, they begin with the number 01202 159, but the last three digits change every time. On this occasion, they even provided a callback number: 0800 487800. Blimey, the persistence is something else!

Got a call pretty much like what others mentioned here, something about energy. I caught a man’s voice but couldn’t pick up properly. He asked me twice to say yes to a question but my throat was really sore so I couldn’t reply. Then he just hung up abruptly. These cold calls should honestly be banned.

There's this one bloke who keeps ringing us non-stop, like several times a day for a few days on end. Just when you think he’s finally stopped, he goes quiet for a few weeks before starting the whole charade again. We’ve been absolutely clear that we're not at all intrigued by what he’s selling - insulation, of all things! - yet he just drones on, completely ignoring us until we have to hang up. It’s honestly quite unsettling. I can only imagine how intimidating it might be for someone elderly or vulnerable. I've put his number on block; let’s see if he tries to reach out from a different one next!

I confronted the caller, bearing in mind that my number is on the Telephone Preference Service list, and promptly terminated the conversation. This marks the fourth time they’ve attempted to reach me, so I’ve decided to lodge a formal complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office about their persistent approach.

Beware of those pesky scam callers! It's best to steer clear-just block them outright. They’re notorious for switching to different numbers, so if a strange one pops up, don’t engage; just hit that block button. If you accidentally answer, don’t let them take control of the conversation. Simply tell them they're under police surveillance and hang up immediately. To sum it all up: if you don’t recognise the caller, let it ring and block them. If the call were genuine, they would send some proper information through the post. I keep it straightforward-only family and friends have my number. If you’re not saved in my contacts, you can’t reach me!
