Some bloke called Chris, saying he was with my “local energy company,” has rung me like five times recently. The first few times I just said no thanks, then I told him I’m registered with the TPS. After the third call I had a quick search and stumbled across this site. By the fourth and fifth call, I was proper annoyed, told him he was a grubby scammer and to piss off and find an honest job instead.

Some bloke named Chris, claiming to be from my 'local energy provider', has rung me about five times already. First call I just said no thanks. The second time I mentioned I was on the TPS list. On the third call, I actually looked them up and found this site. By the fourth and fifth calls, I wasn’t having it - I called him a cheat, told him to jog on and find some honest work instead of bothering us with scams.

Got a call from someone named Alex about insulation and saving energy today. He asked if I owned the house. Same thing happened yesterday too. Received a call claiming my residence is among those flagged for loft insulation services. I inquired about the address they had on record, and it completely threw them off. Clearly dodgy! I've decided to block the number and forget about it.

I've had two calls from this number already. The person didn’t bother to ask my name and just said I qualified for a medical alert bracelet. Then they went on to ask if I was older than 50. Surely if this was legitimate they would already know my details like name and age? I told them I wasn’t interested at all and ended the call. I reckon it’s a scam, to be honest. When I didn’t recognise the number, I decided to give it a bit of festive cheer instead, treating them to some German Christmas tunes! At one point, a voice piped up saying, "This is Chris, your local Energy adviser." Now, hang on a minute, Bournemouth is a fair bit away from north Essex, so I just carried on with the carols. Honestly, I wouldn’t take a call from a so-called 'local energy adviser' unless I’d specifically requested it.

I keep getting calls from this chap who just dives right into his pitch about being "your local energy consultant." Now, I must point out that Bournemouth is quite a distance from Essex, so I’m not sure how he fancies himself as ‘local’. He’s ringing me, sometimes even two times a day! I’ve had a word with him - politely told him to do one (not in those exact words, mind you) and my wife has also made it crystal clear that we’re not keen on his services. Yet here he is, right on cue. Even if he’s not pulling a fast one, he's still a rather tiresome cold caller, and I wouldn’t put any faith in energy tips coming from someone like him.

After enduring his ramblings for a bit, I decided to reveal that I'm actually an energy assessor myself. Well, that took the wind out of his sails and the chat wrapped up rather abruptly. Just a heads-up to everyone, keep an eye out for this caller!
