"Energy Advisor Alex" I've been bombarded with five calls, each one from a different number, yet all supposedly from "Alex." The messages are recorded, and they cleverly pause in such a way that it feels like I'm chatting with a real person. Honestly, this is getting ridiculous and needs to be put to an end!

I've received several calls from the 01202 number lately. Today, it seems they've started using the 0161 676 1951 number, claiming to be from the “Green Guidelines Centre.” Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Yes, this was definitely one of those dodgy calls.

I’m beginning to think this number is nothing but a dodgy scammer targeting vulnerable older folks. For several weeks now, they’ve been pestering me with calls, at all hours - including the unsociable late ones. Eventually, I caved in and picked up the phone. The chap claimed he wanted to chat about enhancing the energy efficiency of my home. I played along and answered his barrage of questions quite willingly. However, as soon as I mentioned my age bracket, he abruptly cut the line! It seemed he was keen to verify that I was over 50. 1) It wouldn’t have taken much for him to simply say that I didn’t match the demographic they were after. 2) I have a strong hunch he hung up because he was just cold calling, hoping to ensnare a new victim. So, he's either exceedingly impolite (especially after wasting my time) or he's lurking about looking to deceive someone. Honestly, I’d recommend ignoring any calls from this number.

I didn't pick up since I didn't recognise the number. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, either. I've also been getting calls from numbers like 281, 299, 302, 303, 304, 306, and 324 recently. Quite the string of mysterious callers!

Got a call where the guy said I might be eligible for a medical alert device, but the very first thing he wanted to know was how old I am. Total scam.

So a guy rang me a few weeks back saying he was Alex, but I’m pretty sure he also said his name was Chris at some point. Said he worked for some green energy firm. The number was from Bournemouth, which is like over 100 miles from me! He asked if I owned the house, I said yes, then he wanted to know what boiler I had - then he just hung up on me. Honestly, I get a kick out of winding up these scammers 😂

Got a call from an unknown number and it was completely silent. I didn’t recognise it, so I was pretty wary from the start. The caller hung up after just a few seconds. If it rings again, I reckon I’ll put it on block.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be with a government-backed green energy advice group. They kept pushing this “special offer” that sounded too good to be true. I asked a few questions but their answers were pretty vague, and it felt off. I’m guessing it’s one of those scams trying to get personal info under the guise of helping with green initiatives. Since 4pm yesterday, I've had about five calls from different 01202 143xxx numbers - the last three digits keep changing. Checking this site made it clear these are all part of the same scam. I’ve started screening every call now, and it’s funny how the scammer just drops the call as soon as the answering machine kicks in.

I've had several phone calls from this number lately. The person on the line insists they're involved in some initiative to raise awareness about environmental matters in my locality. Strangely, they began probing for personal information, like my name and my address. When I interrupted to inquire about who exactly had sent him on this little mission, he just launched back into his scripted monologue as if I hadn't said a word. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I received multiple calls in a single day regarding my elderly parents and their possible qualification for a personal alarm system. It was only after the fourth attempt that they finally passed the phone over to me. Upon inquiring about how he got their number, he simply replied that it came from "his manager." I made it clear to him that they should take their number off the list and reminded him that making unsolicited calls like this is against the law. Now we just have to see what happens next...

Seems like another dodgy sales call from some fresh Bournemouth number. Jack’s phoned me loads of times before, pushing all sorts of things from various numbers.
