I got a call from someone claiming to be Alex, but it turned out to be a bunch of recordings pieced together. They were pitching Medical alert pendants, but couldn’t answer any straightforward questions. Every time we asked something, the same info was repeated over and over with only tiny changes. When we gave them a fake name and address, they just hung up. Definitely felt like a bot or scam.

This dodgy company has been ringing me for ages now. They use loads of different numbers, but they all begin with 01202 143... I just ignore as I have no idea who they are. Today I’ve had just four calls from numbers all quite alike (01202 143293, 01202 143304/6 & 7), after getting six yesterday and more than fifty over the past ninety days. The caller rings, but whenever I don’t pick up and get the answerphone, the caller just goes quiet and hangs up. Checking on this site shows these are all connected to energy, insulation or medical scams. Real callers usually leave a message, but since I’m on the TPS, I shouldn’t be getting these dodgy calls. These scammers really ought to be stopped - they’re not just irritating, they’re dangerous.
