Got a call from this number, didn't say anything, just hung up straight away. No clue who it was.

Had the misfortune of receiving an irritating scam call purporting to be from an energy provider, all aimed at retrieving my personal information. Quite bothersome, really!

I received a bothersome call from a so-called energy provider trying to pry into my personal information. It's clearly a scam!

Got a bloke called "Patrick" ringing me up, sayin' that my place has some old-type loft insulation or whatever his script says. He keeps calling loads of times, changing the last few digits of his number each time. Honestly, I'd really like to catch them out and put an end to it.

I've been receiving calls from what appears to be an automated system trying its hardest to mimic a real person. They’ve gone by names like Chris, Cliff, Patrick, and Alex, claiming to represent my so-called local energy advisor, which is a role that doesn’t even exist! The whole charade seems geared towards getting you to consent to a loft insulation inspection, all while spinning tales of potential mould lurking in your loft if you’re still using standard insulation. It’s been coming from various numbers, but they all seem to begin with 012021432xx. If you’re eager to cut the conversation short, just hang up as soon as they ask, "I take it you are the homeowner?" and simply respond with "no." Alternatively, if you find yourself with a bit of spare time, you could just keep them on their toes by prompting them to repeat their lines over and over.

They keep ringing me every day, switching the number up just a bit each time. Doesn't bother to leave a message on my voicemail though. Still annoying as ever!

Picked up the phone, but there was nothing but quiet on the other end - and this has happened on back-to-back days now.

I've received three calls so far, all from numbers linked to Bournemouth, and they match the ones mentioned earlier. My voicemail remains active, so I'm simply going to keep blocking them! It's against the law to make these unwanted calls, so I've gone ahead and reported them to the TPS and other relevant authorities.

I've been receiving numerous calls from this number and others like it. Each time I answer, it seems my answering machine kicks in, but then they hang up. We've adopted a rule around here: if the number isn't saved in our contacts, we simply don’t bother to answer!

They call all the time but never say anything or leave a message, so I just ignore the calls now.

Avoid picking up calls from a 01202 number, it's usually those dodgy lot. They always seem to ring from a new number each time. I've been off the directory for over 20 years, signed up with TPS, and never share my number, yet they still manage to phone me about three times a day. Proper annoying!

A bloke called Chris rang me claiming to be the local energy specialist, saying his firm had checked out loads of homes around here. But I asked around the neighbours and none of them had heard of any such visits. He wouldn’t say exactly who he’s working for, though one of his mates on the phone mentioned something about the Green centre. If I saw this number pop up, I’d be wary - they’re eager to book a survey straight away to inspect insulation. My advice? Just politely decline.

I saw an unknown number calling but didn't bother to answer. When I checked my voicemail, I only heard the start of a voice saying something like "Hi, hope you're alright," then it dropped, so they probably hung up. Sounds like the usual scam folks are warning about here. Wish people luck trying to block these calls, they're such a nuisance!

Just got this call again, second time in a short while but from numbers that aren't exactly the same - both times the guy said his name was Chris and claimed to be ringing from my local energy company. Thing is, the number showed up as Bournemouth, and I live all the way in Nottinghamshire. Not exactly local at all. I told him my loft insulation is perfectly fine, but he insisted otherwise. Felt like a total scam, especially when I tried to answer with facts he clearly didn't want me to mention, and he just cut me off. So I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

This person said they were from some Residential Green Standards about loft insulation. They kept pushing and wouldn’t really give straight answers when I asked stuff. Quite off-putting, to be honest.

I'm almost certain this is some kind of automated caller, designed really well to sound like a person. I've had about five or six calls from this or a very similar number now. My partner actually answered one and genuinely thought it was someone real on the other end, but I doubt it was human. They say they're from an energy provider supposedly operating in your local postcode. But if you ask them which postcode they mean, the system seems to get baffled and just ends the call abruptly.

some bloke said he was patrick working for the energy firm nearby, ringing me about some loft insulation offer. he called me a few times today, each time from a different number extension. i told him i live in a flat, so no loft here, and ive talked about this with their company earlier. as soon as i told him to stop calling me, he just ended the call. really annoying and persistent phone calls.

I’m pretty sure it was a scam. The guy said he was from a local business around here but when I asked for the name of the company and where exactly my area was, he couldn’t give me any real answers. Seemed dodgy to me.

Claims to be representing our "neighbourhood energy provider"-not entirely sure what that even means! I've been receiving calls from them every day, occasionally even a couple of times in a single day. Definitely seems like a scammer fishing for personal details. They've been ringing from various numbers all within the same area code. Here are a few of them: 01202143289 01202143280 01202143286 Best tactic? Just continue to block these numbers until they exhaust their options.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Patrick from an energy company. When I mentioned that I wasn't interested, he abruptly hung up the phone on me. To my surprise, he called back about an hour later. It’s rather odd, as I've had two calls last week from a nearly identical number, but the caller never bothered to speak. The area code seems to be from Bournemouth, which is a bit peculiar, don’t you think?

I've had the same number ring me twice today! The first call was from a number that was nearly identical, just one little digit different at the end. I did a quick check with 1471 to confirm. Honestly, it's beyond irritating. Who do they think they are, invading my privacy like this? It's downright unacceptable!

This is the second occasion recently that I've received a call from a number that’s a bit different, yet the fellow on the line insists his name is Chris and claims to be ringing from my local energy provider. Quite amusing really, as the call is coming from Bournemouth while I’m in Nottinghamshire, so definitely not local at all! I mentioned to him that my loft insulation is perfectly fine, but he insisted otherwise, of course. Clearly a scam! When I attempted to respond with points he’d rather avoid, he just blurted over me. In the end, I decided to hang up and block the number.

After I returned from tending to my garden, I noticed an incoming call on my home phone. It came through at precisely 15:55. Interestingly, there was no voicemail recorded on my answering service. These calls are such a bother, aren’t they?

I’ve been inundated with these bogus insulation calls from a crowd of fraudsters, all seemingly operating from Bournemouth under various numbers such as: 01202 143289 01202 143283 01202 143198 01202 159728 It’s always a pre-recorded message, which is rather frustrating as it means no chance of speaking to an actual person. They do have the cheek to inquire if you’re over 60, clearly targeting the more mature demographic. If anyone can unearth who’s behind this deceitful operation and perhaps even an address, it would be grand if you could share the information here. A little visit for a 'friendly chat' might be in order!
