I got a call from some automated voice pretending to be a real person like Chris, Cliff, Patrick or Alex claiming to be from my local energy company - which I’m pretty sure isn’t even a real job. They want you to agree to a loft insulation check, pushing some spray foam insulation stuff by scaring you about mould in your loft if you have old insulation. These calls come from numbers starting with 012021432 something. If you want to stop it quick, just say “no” when it asks if you're the homeowner right at the start. Otherwise, if you’ve got time to waste, keep it going by getting it to repeat itself over and over.

Just got this call again, second time in a short while but from numbers that aren't exactly the same - both times the guy said his name was Chris and claimed to be ringing from my local energy company. I'm almost certain this is some kind of automated caller, designed really well to sound like a person. I've had about five or six calls from this or a very similar number now. My partner actually answered one and genuinely thought it was someone real on the other end, but I doubt it was human. They say they're from an energy provider supposedly operating in your local postcode. But if you ask them which postcode they mean, the system seems to get baffled and just ends the call abruptly.

I've had a few automated calls about insulation from these dodgy people. They keep switching numbers but most seem to have Bournemouth area codes like these: 01202 143198 01202 143283 01202 143289 01202 159728 It's just a recorded message, no actual person to talk to. They even ask if you're over 60, so sounds like they’re after the elderly. If anyone can track down who’s running this nonsense and get an address, please share it here.
