01202143050 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01202143050 👆 is reported as a number linked to K5 Communications, a legitimate telecommunications firm based in Bournemouth, used mainly for business-to-business prospecting on telecom contracts. However, numerous calls from this and similar Bournemouth area numbers claim to be from local energy advisors but exhibit scam-like behaviours. Callers often employ pushy tactics, vague local connections, and seek personal details, particularly concerning loft insulation or energy contracts. Many recipients nationwide have reported no response when answering, silent calls, or abrupt hang-ups. The consensus warns these calls are suspicious, often linked to energy or insulation scams, and recipients commonly advise blocking and reporting to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or relevant authorities to avoid potential fraud.

Hi, I’m Callan Ryan and this number now belongs to me. I work at K5 Communications, a telecoms firm located in Bournemouth. If you noticed a missed call from me, it’s likely I was reaching out to chat about your current telecoms contracts, mainly from a business-to-business standpoint. No worries, it’s not a scam - we’re a trusted company with a solid history with clients. If you want, you can drop me an email at: [email protected]

Every weekday for the last few weeks, Chris from some energy company keeps ringing me non-stop. He talks so fast through his spiel you don’t even have a chance to say anything. The strange thing is, he’s got a Bournemouth number but I’m based in Swansea. Hardly what I’d call local when we aren’t even in the same part of the country!

Got a call from a man claiming to be Terry, saying they were energy providers. Sounds like a total scam to me. We've already filed a complaint with the ICO. Best to just block and ignore these calls.

This person said they were some kind of local energy specialist or something!

I received a call from Chris, supposedly my energy consultant, yet he's ringing in from Bournemouth. Quite dodgy, if you ask me! Plus, they didn't even specify what my "area code" is meant to be. Very suspicious indeed!

I thought I picked up the phone and started chatting to the voicemail, assuming someone was there. They mentioned something about fitting a loft (actually did 2!) but never said which company they were from. Once they saw I wasn't replying, they just gave up.

I wasn’t in when they rang and they didn’t leave any message. Oddly, they never bothered to ring my mobile, even though its number’s clearly on my answering machine.

The beginning of the number is 1, and I think it might be one of those isolation scams. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I answered and there was just silence, then suddenly the call dropped out.

Had a call from some energy advisor who reckoned my loft insulation might be causing damp or condensation issues. They were oddly insistent and actually asked how old I was, which felt a bit off. When I asked for his name, it took a while for him to tell me, which made me uneasy. Then he wanted to send me information via post, which seemed a bit much. Overall, a pretty uncomfortable chat.

I got a call from a Dorset number, so I thought it was local and answered at first. But after seeing loads of scam reports on here, I'm really relieved I didn’t pick up in the end. Too many dodgy calls going about these days.

This number rang me twice in the past fortnight. Every time I picked up, there was silence on the other end and then the call ended after a short while. Bit strange if you ask me.

I just got a call from a number beginning with 01202. I didn’t pick up, and as soon as the answering machine kicked in, the caller hung up. We’ve been getting loads of calls from 01202 numbers before, usually with dodgy messages about insulation. It had calmed down for a bit, but looks like they’re back at it again.

I got a voicemail that was totally quiet for about 20 seconds. Lately, calls from that same area code have turned out to be dodgy energy scams.

Some lady picked up and told me I’m getting sued. I ended the call straight away because I thought it was just some scam.

This bloke called me sayin, "Hey, I'm Chris, your neighbourhood energy consultant," but I told him I wasn’t interested and just hung up. I’m thinkin of reporting it to the TPS, though I’m not really holdin my breath that it’ll make a difference.

Got a call from some bloke who said he was Steve, an energy advisor. Bit odd cos the number was from an area nowhere near where I live. Didn’t even give him a chance to say more. Also, what ever happened to Chris, the energy guy who used to call from around here?

I've gotten loads of calls from this Chris bloke, who says he's an energy advisor nearby. He’s been ringing from a bunch of different Bournemouth numbers like 159179, 137548, and 143050. It's really annoying, I've had about twelve calls from them so far.

Got a call from someone called Chris, said he was the energy advisor for my area. Asked him what my postcode was, then he goes, “I see you're the account holder.” Mate, you've got the wrong end of the stick! Told him straight and then hung up. Wonder if I’ll get in trouble for swearing at him...

So this guy Chris claims to be our “local” energy advisor but he’s ringing from Bournemouth to Broadstairs - that’s like 180 miles apart, how local is that then? He went on about bad insulation and was really pushy asking how old I am. Then he kept banging on about spraying foam in my loft. For a second, I thought he was trying to be trendy or something with all that youthful talk, but nope. Honestly, steer well clear of this one.

I'm Chris, an energy advisor from the area. Is the East coast near Bournemouth? Pretty sure it’s not. Got calls several times in a single day last week. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

The call went straight to voicemail with nobody picking up, so I think it might be a blocked number.
