A few weeks back I got a call from this number, and since I have dealings with LV= around Bournemouth, I picked up thinking it might be them. Turned out it wasn’t. I told the caller I was busy having lunch and couldn’t talk. After that, I’ve been getting calls from the same or a nearly identical number pretty much every day. Now, I just let them ring through to voicemail, but they never bother to leave a message. I’m located near Basildon/Benfleet.

Got a ring from this number saying they were from some ‘Insulation Advice Service’ and that my insulation might be full of mould. They pushed a 'free' check, claiming energy firms were footing the bill now because of Insulate Britain and their protests on the M25. I called them out straight away since I’ve been around insulation quite a bit through my job in construction. They didn’t bother arguing and just cut me off. Looks like just another dodgy scam probably backed by the Government, as usual.

Not sure how this number hasn't been marked as suspicious yet! It rang my elderly mum who’s recently lost her husband. The caller claimed to be from some energy firm. Mum told him she lived alone now and that her late husband used to sort all the bills. I overheard the bloke offering to set up some sort of appointment to help with saving energy. I jumped in, took the phone off her, but he refused to give any proper info so I just told him to jog on! It’s awful how they try and take advantage of vulnerable folks by pretending to be legit energy providers.

A guy called from something called Renewable Energy and claimed he’d got my phone number from some Loft Insulation list. Wouldn't tell me his name or exactly where he was ringing from. I just left the call going, and it’s still been on for like 15 minutes now!

I’ve always had my number ex-directory, so it’s really rare for me to get random calls. Just now, I was about to head out, and then my phone buzzed. For a second, I thought it was X returning my call, but no, it went silent, then clicking sounds - sounded like some call centre. After a pause, I said hello, and a voice answered. Then this bloke says, "Hi, I’m Tom, ringing about your loft insulation." I just hung up straight away. How on earth did they get my number? Checked 1471, and turns out the caller was from 01202137541.

This morning I got a call on my landline but I didn’t answer it and there wasn’t any voicemail left. They actually rang me last weekend as well. My landline number is with BT and it’s ex-directory, so I’m puzzled how they found it from BT. Seems like it’s either a spam or scam caller. If they ring you, don’t bother answering. Does anyone know how to block this number on a landline? Would be great to stop them calling again.
