I’ve been receiving calls from someone named Matthew around two to three times weekly, each time from slightly different phone numbers. They all follow the Bournemouth area code (01202) and then kick off with 137xxx. He’s always keen to have a chat about loft insulation, which is a bit of a laugh since we don’t even have a loft! I do play along with him for a bit, but as soon as he starts asking how to spell my name, I’m out of there - as if I’d let him have that info! When you ring back, you’re met with the same old message about "market research" from some digital marketing outfit. If you’ve got a spare moment, why not keep Matthew busy? It’ll waste his time, but do make sure not to divulge even your first name. Honestly, these scammers have no shame!

Got a call from someone named Chris about insulation stuff. He said he worked for a company called Green Eco Centre. He mentioned his boss would ring me back in about half an hour to set up a visit to my house. But when I tried to ask him a few things, suddenly Chris acted like he couldn’t hear me properly. So I got a call from some bloke named Chris, said it was about my loft insulation and said there’s a big issue with condensation or something. He said I didn’t need to stress, some inspection would be done free of charge. Claimed it was some government scheme. Then he asked if I owned the place and wanted my address. I asked him how he didn’t already have my address if it was legit. He kinda stuttered, said “uhh…” then just ended the call. Seemed dodgy to me!

I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise because if it was important, they’d leave a voicemail. Seems like a scam to me since none of these calls have left any messages. After seeing what others have said here, I’m definately gonna block these numbers now.

I received a call around half-past three on the 16th of July, 2021, regarding loft insulation. The person on the line assured me I’d be contacted again within half an hour to arrange a time for a surveyor to come round. It’s now nearly twenty to eight, and I've yet to hear from anyone. Quite frustrating!
