Had a similar thing happen to me. They started off saying they were just upgrading my service for free, no cost at all. Then suddenly they asked for my bank info, which seemed odd. When I asked why they needed that if it was meant to be free, they hit me with a story about a £179 balance owing that would cover the next three years. I told them I’m not interested and ended the call straight away. I’ve blocked this number now, but I’ve had calls before from a different one trying the exact same spiel.

i got a call from someone named annalise who said she was from secure homes nuisance call prevention. she told me i had a contract with them, which i dont. when i asked to cancel it, she said i owed £179. i just told her if she wanted the money she can take me to court and then ended the call. she’s called before and like someone else here mentioned, she tried to scare me with talk about debt collectors and police. i told her to leave me alone. next time I hear annalise’s name on the caller id, i’m just gonna hang up straight away.

I got a call from some Annalise claiming to be from a call prevention service. She said they were upgrading me to a premium plan because I was still getting annoying calls. When I told her I wasn’t paying anything and called her out for sounding like a scammer, she started threatening me with court and said they were working hand in hand with the police! Honestly, she didn’t come across as very friendly at all.

Got a call from a 01202 number, which I know is Poole in Dorset, but the caller claimed they were phoning from London. This isn’t the first time they’ve rung me either, I’ve had loads of calls from these people before. Time to block them again, those call blocking services are needed!
