SCAM alert! They kept going on about a warranty for solar panels on my roof, but I told them I live on the ground floor with no roof at all. They argued back like I was wrong. Total scam, avoid!

Got a call from a bloke asking about my mum, who sadly passed away almost nine years ago. I saw a review down here mentioning Smart Energy, which got me thinking. Years back, my mum had some thermal panels installed by a firm called Smart Energy, but they went bust pretty quickly. Seems like someone’s not playing by the rules with data protection and ignoring the TPS guidelines. Proper annoying.

Got a call from someone saying they were with "eco climatec" about my solar panel warranty. I was like, what solar panels? Where did you get my number from? She said the manufacturer gave it to them. When I asked which manufacturer, she just muttered something like "sola" and then cut me off. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Had a terrible experience with these folks. The number they called me from looked like it was from Bournemouth, yet they claimed to be located way down in Truro, Cornwall. They insisted I was on some list from a company called Smart Energy that’s apparently no longer around, but I’ve never owned solar panels in my life. Even if I was thinking about solar, after how rude Ed and Benjamin were on the phone, I wouldn’t touch them with a bargepole. Honestly, steer clear - total scam in my opinion.

I got a call from a woman about the warranty on my solar panels, but I don’t even own any. This company seems either really sloppy or maybe even trying something dodgy.

Last month, this environmental group came by for a yearly check on my solar panels and did a cracking job. The only thing is, they keep phoning me too often - like 5 or 6 times a year. I've told them to just call once annually, but no luck yet. They definitely need to sort out their scheduling.

I got a call from some guy claiming they could renew my solar panels' warranty at no cost. Thing is, he gave me the wrong installer’s name, so obviously something fishy. Definitely a scam.

So they rang me, claiming it was a follow-up from some chat we had a year ago about my solar panel warranty. Weird thing is, I don’t even have any solar panels. They said they’d take me off their call list or whatever. Sure, like that’ll actually happen.

On 7th September 2020, at about 4.52 pm, I got a call on my landline from 01202113477. The person said they worked for a firm that could put an end to all the junk calls I keep getting. I do get a few now and then, mostly the same annoying ones, which I normally just block out. But the strange thing is, it feels like this very company might be doing exactly what they're supposed to stop!

This number’s linked to a firm that does stuff with solar panels - like selling and upkeep. Looks like it’s one of those Bournemouth numbers they keep using. I usually just block any number from Bournemouth. Bit of a shame for honest local businesses though!
