Over the last two weeks, I've been getting calls from this number three times, but every time I answer, the line just goes dead. Do real Bournemouth numbers actually start with a zero? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I think this number is probably on my ProCall Blocker because it stopped ringing after just 4 rings. Or maybe their system decided to find someone who’s easier to trick. Either way, no answer from me!

I picked up but there was no response from the other end. After a bit, I could hear heavy breathing, then the call just ended. Proper unsettling.

Got a ring from this number again, and I didn’t even let them say who they were. They keep saying something about loft insulation but it’s clearly just an unwelcome call. These sorts of calls should be banned, especially cos they might scare someone who’s vulnerable by playing on their worries.

Some woman called me saying our home was on some list due to supposed asbestos risk. The whole south coast area, from around Bournemouth through to Brighton and further, seems loaded with these sorts of scams lately. Pretty sure it was just a con.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from a conservation group offering a free check on our downstairs air quality because of possible fibres blowing through from the loft insulation. I'll call back later when my husband’s around to chat. Appreciate all the comments here. Think I’ll block the number now.

This number has been ringing my home phone quite a few times now, always asking to speak to a Mr Lynch. We've owned this number for over two decades and I've explained over and over that no one here goes by that name. Each time they promise to take us off their calling list, but they never do. I've hung up on them numerous occasions, yet they just keep pestering me. Honestly, it's so annoying!

Oh, so now it’s insulation, right? I’d been seeing a lot more blocked calls lately and was curious what was going on. Didn’t even cross my mind it could be because of that new grant. Seems like everyone’s jumping on the bandwagon to cash in. Honestly, I’d never go for a firm that cold calls like that. Told the last lot to get lost straight away.

Got a call from a bloke who knew my last name, claiming he was from some kind of official trust about a government initiative for roof insulation. I told him I hadn’t signed up for anything like that, and then he started asking daft questions. I just ended the call and have blocked the number since.

I called asking for Mrs Jennaway but before I could even say "I believe you've got the wrong number," the person just hung up without saying a word.

A bloke called claiming to be a Conservation Officer, said he was working in Bath. But the number showed up as Bournemouth. When I asked him what exactly he was trying to conserve, he got a bit shaky and then just hung up on me.

This morning, I received a rather dubious call claiming that my cavity wall and loft insulation were subpar. They were insisting on sending someone over for a complimentary inspection. I quickly realised it was a con and informed the caller of my suspicions. In response, she abruptly hung up!

Just like the others, a woman called claiming she was working for a government scheme about loft insulation. I told her I already have insulation in my loft and walls but she kept going on about some new rules. Thankfully, I cut her off before she could say anything more. She never gave a company name either.

This place really should be shut down. They found out I was over 65 and started giving me dodgy info about their company. When I asked for their name and who they even were, they got all aggressive. Proper awful, just a bunch of con artists preying on people like that.

Got a call about my loft supposedly needing an insulation check, no stuff to buy, they said it’s a government thing and they’d give a report after. I asked straight if they wanted my cash or were selling something, they said no. Just after having my cottage refurbished and loft sorted, I told them it’s already done properly. They still insisted I get it checked, but I told them the council had no worries about it. Then they just cut me off. Total scam, don’t waste your time or money, just ignore and hang up.

I got a call where the person sounded like they knew my hubby’s name and even where we live, claiming we’d spoken before - which I’m pretty sure isn’t true. They were pushing to arrange a visit to inspect or replace our loft insulation, saying it was part of some government scheme. They said the current insulation might not be good enough and could be causing dampness and mould, which worried me because they seemed to have a lot of details. But as soon as I started asking more questions, they just hung up on me.
