Pretty much like what others have said, someone rang me saying they were 'Tom from the government about loft insulation' (which we absolutely don’t have or never had, btw). I told them to stop wasting my time and asked why on earth they were calling me again (this was the second time in two days), and they just cut me off. Total scammer, probably just a lowlife! Both calls came from a blocked number anyway, so no surprise there.

Tom came across as quite polite and believable, but he's definitely not telling the truth. I ignored the call but later checked the answerphone and it was just this weird noise - kind of like the minion’s tune, you know, that nah nah - nah nah - nah nah sound from the films.
