I ignored this call since I had no clue who it might be. Pretty happy I did, to be honest.

Got a call from this number twice today. First time, a bloke asked if I was the homeowner, so I told him no, I'm just the cleaner! He hung up straight away. Found the number on 1471. Then the phone rang again a few minutes later, this time a woman. She said she had brilliant news about a grant to insulate my loft. I just put the phone down beside me and listened as she kept chatting, then shouting 'hello, hello' when I didn’t answer. Eventually she gave up. We’re on the TPS, so really shouldn’t be getting these calls. These cold callers are such a pain.

Got a call about some Government grants supposedly available for every house around here, and they just said they wanted to 'verify some info'!! They knew my name but never said who they were with or properly introduced themselves. Told them I’m not interested and ended the call.

Got a call from this number, sounded like some call centre with loads of noise in the background. The person asked for a Mrs something, so I asked if I really sounded like her. Then the caller just hung up.

Just got a call from this number minutes ago. The bloke knew my name and told me he was calling about some recent Government updates, said my home was picked for some sort of thing he didn’t explain properly. I didn’t hang about and slapped on my call blocker straight away.

They were all on about loft insulation maybe needing an upgrade and said they'd come by the next morning to run some tests. I said no ta, but he didn’t seem too pleased. Ended up blocking him.

Such a pain in the neck. Not sure who these lot are but both men and women talking with a foreign accent. How on earth do they find out our names and address? They just called a bit ago asking for my husband by name, so I checked the number with 1471. We’re on the TPS list but that clearly doesn’t help. Even Virgin Media say they can’t block the calls. Properly frustrating this is.

Got three calls from these lot, all dead silent. Reported it to Ofcom since I’m on the TPS and my number’s ex-directory. They said they can’t do much unless lots of people complain. Virgin Media reckons they can't block it because the callers probably use random numbers. If more people file complaints with Ofcom, maybe they’ll finally do something when it gets out of hand.

I received a call and inquired who was on the line. The response was simply, “It’s Becca, and I’m not here to sell you anything.” I replied, “So, you’re ringing me up on a Bank Holiday just to chit-chat and not pushing any sales?” At that point, they abruptly disconnected the call.

Got a call from a lady who had a weird voice, kind of like a bloke. She started with “Hi I’m not here to sell you anything!!” I thought, brilliant, because I wasn’t planning on buying. Told them not to call me again. Now the number is blocked!!

He phoned my dad two times and each call lasted like 20 minutes with him trying to convince us. When he called the last time I picked up and the bloke was really rude. He kept insisting I was my dad, took me about 5 mins to make him understand I wasn’t, then another 10 mins saying we don’t want any loft insulation.

Me and my son both picked up just as the call rang. There was some muffled noise then they just hung up. I’m adding this number to my blocked list. Pretty simple to do and I’d really suggest you block it too.

Same old, just another roof insulation salesman ringing me. When I asked where he got my number from, he abruptly ended the call. Tried calling back but couldnt get through. Got a voicemail saying it was a free call though. Blocking his number now since I never got to say anything about TPS.

So this bloke rings up and my husband picks up. The caller was super rude, saying our loft insulation was out of date. How would he even know that? Then he starts calling my husband ignorant. My husband got well annoyed and told him off (but nicely, you know!)

Got a call from these lot this morning, she asked if I was (my name), so I asked who she was. When I tried to end the call, she kept going on about loft insulation being done in my area tomorrow. Told her I’d be out, but she pressed me to set a time. In the end, I just said I’d think about it (not really gonna happen) just to shut it down. Normally I just ignore these cold calls and I’ll keep doing that.

Got a really rude and pushy call from some bloke saying there’d been changes in the rules and he had some free funding for required updates. When I asked who told him to ring me, he just wouldn’t answer. I ended the call, but then he rang back and got all annoyed and pushy ‘cause I wouldn’t share my personal info. Proper annoying!

Tue, 14:31, 3rd April 2018 - got a call from a roof insulation firm, maybe Roofwise? Looks dodgy to me, possibly a scam from Bournemouth. A woman kept asking me questions, trying to get me to say YES. Honestly, don’t trust them, don’t answer or agree to anything. Just block the number!

A bloke phoned my 89 year old mum sayin they’d done a survey and she was on some priority list for govt funded loft insulation. Said they could pop round the next day for a free, no-pressure survey. They promised to call back in 5 minutes to say who’d come. Asked loads if she had the authority to make decisions about the house. When she mentioned me, they said if I had power of attorney I'd need to be there. She got a bit worried and called me up. Told her to ask for all the info in writing so she could show me before doin anything.

i got a call from a person asking if i was mrs walters, and as soon as i replied ‘no, can you…’ they cut the call right there. that same number rang a couple days ago too but all i heard was laughing and someone shouting ‘jo!’ then they ended the call. quite weird really.

some bloke said he was my local energy advisor but i told him i only deal with folks who come recommended, not random cold calls like that. looked up the number and it was from bournemouth, and seeing as i’m in oxfordshire, that’s definitely not local in my book!

Someone called saying my direct debit for some service I supposedly agreed to that’s meant to keep me safe from security threats needed renewing. I got a bit irritated and a bit confrontational when I told them I never signed up and have no clue about paying something like £144. They kept ringing tho, so I’ve now blocked the number.
