I've been getting calls from odd numbers all the time, and this one just showed up. Didn't even pick up - so tired of these scam calls!

It's weird, I get calls from women who say "how are you?" and then just hang up straight away.

There was so much noise in the background I couldn’t catch what the caller said, they just said like three words and then ended the call.

So, someone called saying they were Mike from Carphone Warehouse. When I asked for his email, he gave me something like mike348 ###@ gmail [###]. About a year back, I got a similar call, and getting a bit wary, I asked for their email too. They put me on hold for a bit, then came back with sales@carsphonewarehouse [###], but the weird thing was the domain had only been registered a few months before. Seemed dodgy to me.

I got a call from 01200600038 but it just rang a few times and then stopped. No idea who it could be. If it really matters, I guess they'll leave a voicemail or something.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Carphone Warehouse, but I've never had any kind of contract with them. I'm pretty sure it was just a scammer trying their luck.

I kept hearing loud munching on crisps, someone gobbling doughnuts, and a dodgy deodorant spray going off in the background. Are these really estate agents or what?

got a call from someone saying they were from cpwh offering to clear my contract which they said was over £215 and do an upgrade for me at a really low cost. felt a bit dodgy since the prices they quoted were nothing like what’s on their site. plus, their website clearly states they don’t support upgrades on my current network. would steer clear of these guys.

Got a call from a lady speaking with a strong Indian accent who said she was "Sally from the phone house". She was trying to sweet talk me into giving her my bank info by promising a great discount on my phone contract. Didn’t fall for it, obviously.

Picked up the phone only to be met with complete silence, then silence again, and yep, more silence after that. Made me wonder if Simon & Garfunkel were out here recreating "The Sound of Silence" or if it was just some telemarketer messing about. Considering Simon & Garfunkel aren’t exactly on speaking terms lately, I’m leaning towards the spam caller theory.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. They asked loads of questions about my phone and current plan, then said they could upgrade me to a Huawei P40 without increasing my monthly payments. I asked why they’d offer me a deal like that, but they spoke so quickly I could barely understand. Then they mentioned they were ringing on behalf of my network provider, which made me ask if they knew which network I actually use. Their response was that they work with all networks. I told them I was a bit tied up and would pop into my local Carphone Warehouse later in the week to sort it out. The person didn’t seem too happy I wanted to visit a store and just hung up after saying goodbye. Honestly, I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the real Carphone Warehouse and I’m really curious how they got hold of my number in the first place.
