When I answered, there was only silence. I've come across various other websites that claim this number is linked to a loft insulation scam. I've decided to block it.

My phone showed a Reading number popping up, but don't get tricked by that. The person on the line definitely didn't sound English. When I asked a few questions, he stuck to some script but eventually confessed he was calling from the Philippines. I then asked why someone from there would fake a Reading phone number and what business he had trying to scam folks in the UK. I ended the call straight away. As soon as I picked up, he started yapping about loft insulation and asked if I owned the house. That number’s blocked now.

Rang me on two days running. They're prattling on about loft insulation and probing for information regarding property ownership. When I mentioned I'd look into their company, the caller, who sounded Asian, abruptly terminated the call! Seems rather telling, don’t you think?

I couldn’t really make out what the guy was trying to say, his English was terrible. Sounds like he needs to find a proper job or something. I just had to hang up.

They rang me up saying it was a survey and asked if I owned my house, but I quickly said I wasn’t interested and hung up. I only picked up because it was from a local landline. Now I’ve got to warn my 91 year old mum about this kind of annoying scam. These scammers are the worst!

The individual on the other end of the line was impressively organised. It was evident he was a seasoned professional from the get-go. He claimed to be contacting me on behalf of my insurance provider, offering assistance in claiming compensation for an alleged car accident. Remarkably, he had my complete name and address at his fingertips. However, considering the so-called car accident was purely fictitious, it's clear I had not suffered such an incident. This chap was definitely up to no good-just a typical con artist.

Had a call from a bloke in Liverpool saying he was with LV, my insurer, regarding an accident claim I'd wrapped up last year. He claimed I was due a category C compensation for personal injury from a third party. At first, I was intrigued since he seemed to know a lot about my case. But things felt off, especially when he couldn’t provide my email, which I thought was odd since LV always has that info. When I questioned him on that, he just ended the call. Definitely a dodgy scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.
