Got a message saying I was billed £79.99 and to press 1 for more info, but gave no other details. Anyone telling you to "press 1" is definitely trying to scam you. Seems like the scam has shifted since those calls people were talking about back in February. I just blocked the number. Even though I’m on the TPS list and have an unlisted landline, I still get about 3 or 4 scam calls daily, mostly from India where Ofcom can't really do anything. It's proper annoying.

Got a call from an unknown number on 18/2/22 at 3:33pm but didn’t leave any voicemail.

Between 17th and 29th of February 2022, my dad who is 96 got around 20 calls from these numbers. They kept ringing him with 01183389911, 01183389914 and 01183389915 constantly. I had to block all these numbers now.

I got a call around 4.53pm on Friday, 18/2/22 about the insulation in my loft space not meeting the required standards, which apparently could cause damp issues in the property. They said they’d done inspections all over my area and mine was one of the final ones they needed to check. They mentioned a price based on an age range of 50 to 80, but also said it might not even be necessary.

Thing is, we’ve been in this house for more than 25 years, so there ain’t no EPC for our place. Seemed like a dodgy sales pitch to me since he was probably just ringing random numbers (we use a VOIP line). When I called him out on the nonsense, I just told him off and ended the call straight away.

I had a feeling this was one of those annoying calls since they left no voicemail. From what I’ve read here, Chris is quite persistent - I had him ringing me almost daily a while back about loft insulation, even after I explained I live in a council property. Eventually, I told him I’d report him to Ofcom because I’m signed up with the PTS and shouldn’t be getting hassle like that. I thought that would stop it, but looks like he’s ringing again.

I came across this number and it seems folks are mentioning something about loft insulation. It's puzzling why they're calling me when I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I've switched my phone to silent mode, which works wonders as it won’t ring if they don’t identify themselves. However, I’ve reverted to the announcement feature while I wait for an important call. Just a word of caution: I didn’t pick up this time, but honestly, my new phone from last year has been fantastic for filtering these calls out!
