This number 01183389910 rang me 4 times! Fortunately, I’m using BT’s Call Protect (used to be called Call Guardian) and it blocks all scam calls for me. I honestly think it’s brilliant and would suggest everyone get it to avoid these pesky calls.

My landline blocked a call from a number I didn’t recognise. They didn’t bother leaving a message either.

I’ve had calls from this person three separate times this week, each from a different phone number - one starting with 0118, another from 0113 and then also from 01483 979590. When I rang back, the caller said they were from a company called Filitastica, offering home insulation surveys. I looked them up online and it turns out they’re actually based in the Philippines. They do offer an opt-out option, but they obviously don’t respect it since they keep ringing from new numbers. Feels pretty dodgy to me, and honestly it's borderline harassment with how persistent they’ve been.

Been getting phone calls from 0118 338 9911 today and had a few from 0118 338 9910 yesterday, even though I’m signed up to the telephone preference service. Also had some calls from 01483 979590, which I see others have mentioned too. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked those numbers on my home phone now. While this site is handy, I think the warnings need to reach a wider audience. Posting here and repeating info we already know doesn’t really help much. They’d do better by sharing these warnings on places like Facebook to get the word out a lot faster.

I suspect I unwittingly signed up for a competition, which is likely how they obtained my details. It's evident that this is the same dodgy outfit, intent on scamming innocent folks. Please make sure to REPORT them to the police and British Telecom - they won’t stop hounding us with these various numbers until action is taken. I think I signed up for an Omaze contest once, and that must be how they got hold of my details. All these numbers belong to the same outfit, and they’re just trying to scam folks. You should definitely report them to the police and BT. They won’t stop bothering people unless these numbers get blocked and the scammers dealt with properly.
