9 years**SCAM ALERT!** I keep getting these random prompts while I'm browsing the internet, urging me to call them up. They then proceed to take control of my computer via www.support.me, which bizarrely redirects to https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Customer/Code.aspx. It’s clearly a dodgy operation; for starters, the calling code is international! The representatives struggle with their English, making it even more suspect. Seriously, don’t get caught in their trap-just restart your machine instead; it’ll save you a packet in the long haul. They introduce themselves as ‘Technical Support’ before even getting to the heart of the matter and then demand an outrageous fee of a hundred dollars. When they asked if I had a PC or laptop, I mentioned it was a tablet, to which they inquired about the brand, and I cheekily replied 'paracetamol'! They were none the wiser. I kept them on the line just to see how long I could stretch their patience. What a laugh!9 yearsI recently encountered a pop-up on my computer that purported to be from Microsoft support. It insisted I call a specific number due to a supposed critical virus on my machine, warning that failure to do so would result in my PC being locked! I highly suspect it’s a scam... Pretty dodgy if you ask me!Microsoft9 yearsShows up as Microsoft requesting £349.MicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (0118 315 1070)
