They rang me loads but never left a voicemail and just ended the call each time.

Got a call the other day and they already knew my name, even though I hadn’t given it out. They started pushing some loft insulation stuff and kept at it non stop. Felt like a right dodgy scam to me!

I received a call from an individual purporting to be associated with a mobile phone company. It definitely seemed more like a scam than anything else. I decided to end the conversation promptly and have since blocked the number entirely.

Someone claiming to be from O2 kept ringing me, I ended up putting the phone down on them, but they kept calling back like 6 times. After the fourth return call, they sounded really annoyed. Then, I got a couple of texts from them pushing me to give a code they’d sent. The odd thing was, the first text was actually warning about fraud! After the sixth ring, my husband picked up and gave them a proper earful. They've not bothered us again since. This is the second time in a couple weeks I've had this sort of hassle from them.

I usually avoid picking up calls from numbers I don’t recognise… I tend to look them up here first, and predictably, it’s another scammer! There has to be some way to track these lot down… Thanks for providing this service! I worry about my friends and family who might be easy targets in this digital age, and also strangers out there. Who knows, if I ever get dementia, I might be at risk too. For now, I just refuse to answer, check the number, and block them. I’m sure they’ll try again with a different number soon enough… Cheers again!

Caller claimed to be from O2 but never really said who they were. I told them to leave me alone and they just hung up. Definitely a scam.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, promising me a fantastic deal. I inquired about their top-tier broadband, included a landline, an entertainment package, and all those delightful extras like unlimited 5G data. I mentioned that as a legacy customer, I anticipated a rather appealing offer. Initially, they quoted me £50 for the whole shebang, which I said was a bit steep. They returned with a revised price of £29.99. I kept the conversation going to prevent them from targeting someone else with their dubious schemes.

Pretty sure this was a dodgy sales call or some kind of scam. I didn’t get much from it, partly because I could barely catch what the person was saying. From what I gathered, they were trying to pitch an iPhone contract or something. When I said I already had a phone and contract, they asked how much I was paying. I just told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Definitely felt sketchy though.

If he truly goes by Daniel, then I must be a flamingo’s auntie! Seems to be some nonsense from Three Mobile, and frankly, I’ve had enough of these nincompoops. Do they genuinely believe anyone buys into this drivel these days?

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the 3 network, which happens to be my mobile provider. When I enquired about the purpose of their call, they responded rather cryptically with, “It’s not 4, it’s 3.” Naturally, I reiterated my question, and before I knew it, they decided to end the call abruptly. Quite mysterious, wouldn’t you say?

Got a call on my daughter's phone from 0118 311 1039 and 0118 311 1041 - classic phone scam! The woman on the other end had a really strong accent. Got a call marked as suspicious but I picked up anyway. A guy with a strong Indian accent spoke really fast, claiming he was calling from some car phone warehouse. I saw a bit on Rip Off Britain about this scam recently. Basically, they trick you into signing a contract, send you a phone that’s not the model you asked for, and when you ask for an exchange they tell you to send the phone back but then it disappears and they never send anything in return. They do it because the phone company only delivers to the account holder’s address! Stay away from these lot.

Totally a scammer! The guy had such a thick accent and the connection was rubbish, I had to ask him to say the company’s name like three times. Claimed he was calling from O2, offering to slash my bill by 40% without charging a penny. Then he said he’d put me through to sales, but honestly, that’s where I cut him off. If it sounds like a bargain out of nowhere, it probably is!

Got a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse about a software update. The bloke had such a heavy Asian accent I could barely catch a word. I told them I wasn’t interested and when they asked why, I said I suspected it was a scam. The guy just said "ok bye" and hung up. Honestly, if this was a genuine Carphone Warehouse call, they wouldn’t just drop the phone like that!

The woman on the other end spoke really quickly and with such a thick accent that I honestly couldn’t catch what she was saying. I asked her to say it again a few times but it was no use. She said something that sounded like “Stella” or something close to that. I made it clear to her that this was an unwanted cold call, told her it’s against the law, and asked her not to ring me back.

I really struggled to make out what the young lady was saying, no matter how many times I requested her to articulate her words better. It honestly felt like she was reading from a script. I think she mentioned something that sounded like 'Stella’, but she didn’t clarify what it was about. I told her it was obviously a cold call, which is against the law, so I instructed her not to ring me again.
