someone said they were from carphone warehouse so i rang carphone to double check and they told me that number has nothing to do with them. also, the first number they called from (01207700023) isn’t theirs either. they know about this scam and have tried blocking these numbers, but the scammers just keep making new ones. seriously, dont share any personal info with them!

Loads of folks are saying it's some scam trying to act like it's from Three Mobile or Carphone Warehouse. I only bought my phone about a month back, paid cash at Tesco, and it's on a Tesco pay-as-you-go SIM. So there's no way it's legit since I didn't get it from Carphone Warehouse and I'm definitely on Tesco Mobile pay-as-you-go. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call supposedly from Carphone Warehouse trying to sell me a SIM-only family plan - 3 lines for £15 a month, with unlimited calls, texts, 4G data, and 1,000 international minutes. They promised to send me the info by email but I never got anything. When they rang back, I asked for their email since the details weren’t sent but the person hung up on me. The number looked like a UK landline but I reckon it’s part of some scam ring operating from abroad. Seems dodgy to me!

Got a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, offering a deal that sounded way too good to be true. Made me suspicious right away, especially because just before, I’d messaged my mobile provider about upgrading. Bit of a coincidence that I got this call right after. Told them I wasn’t interested in deals from unknown callers. They gave me a callback number, which I looked up online and found loads of warnings about scams. Gonna reach out to my network provider to check if their chat system’s been hacked or something, cos that’s the only way this scam call makes sense.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, pushing some unbelievable deal on a fancy phone. It sounded fishy, so I phoned the real shop to check, and they said they don’t even do contracts with Three Mobile.
