I told her I wasn’t available to chat, and she mentioned she'd forward my info to their admin team or something like that. Felt a bit off, so I’ve not shared any of my info - probably just a scam if you ask me.

Sadly, the option to directly report scam calls on the police 'Action Fraud' website has been shut down - probably a cost-cutting move? If you’re irritated by this, maybe raise it with your local MP. However, you can still send screenshots of scam messages to the cybercrime unit's email at '[email protected]' and don’t forget to forward them to 7726 too.

Got a call from some energy firm about loft insulation being a health risk to your lungs. They kept saying an engineer would come out for a free check-up. Kept pestering me about surveys and going on about how unsafe it supposedly is. I told them I wasn’t interested and didn’t want any info, then she just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number out of the blue and it was a recorded voice saying it was from ‘Energy Hub’. Then they said they couldn’t connect me to anyone right now, so it’s clear it was just some automated call system.

Seems dodgy to me since landlords can also apply for these schemes - guessing they were just trying to push me into something on the spot. Definitely felt like a scam.
