I saw the number but didn’t pick up since I had no idea who it was. They never bothered to leave a message either. I reckon if it’s something serious, they’d drop a voicemail. Best not to engage with calls from unknown numbers.

It's the Car Finance folks, right? They don't just ring you outta nowhere. They'll only get in touch if you've got some finance thing going on with them, like if you're behind on payments or something. Other than that, they don't bother you.

A classic piece of advice I’ve always stuck to: I tend to disregard any number that isn’t already in my contacts. Folks who really need to reach out will typically drop a message, won’t they? I make a habit of researching every unknown number before deciding whether to engage. Most end up getting the block treatment-about 99%, to be precise-either because I can't authenticate them or they show up as dodgy scammers. For the sake of your sanity, it's wise to give those calls a miss!

As many others have pointed out regarding comparable digits, this particular number is associated with an individual named Stuart Wright, who has quite the record as a fraudster. He resides at 21A Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF. It’s hardly surprising he’s got a rather posh abode; he’s likely raking in cash from all his dodgy dealings!

I received a phone call from someone purporting to be from Microsoft, saying they needed to discuss some sort of "problem" with my computer. Recognising it as a scam immediately, I opted to feign ignorance and peppered the caller with a barrage of ridiculous questions. Within just a few minutes, the tone of the caller shifted drastically to one of aggression and contempt, as he pushed me to download some dubious "software" that undoubtedly would have been a virus.

It’s crucial to alert our elderly relatives about these scams, as these con artists seem to have them firmly in their sights.

Had a call from some bloke with a strong Indian accent who said his name was Derick and claimed Microsoft had found hackers on my computer. He spent a while trying to convince me by showing stuff on the Windows Event viewer. I ended up telling him I work in IT, which shut him up straight away. He hung up pretty quick after that. Classic Microsoft security scam! ;-)

They called but didn’t say anything or leave a message. If it was urgent, they would’ve left one, right?

somebody claiming to be from 'mircosoft' called me and told me to type www247.com into my search bar. I had a quick look online and it looked dodgy, so I didn't bother and they just hung up on me.

This number belongs to a disgusting woman from Asia, probably a scammer. Do yourself a favour and block it immediately, then report her.

Had a call from this Asian woman who barely spoke English, claiming she was from Microsoft - total scam! Another one of those Asian scammers trying to sneak your bank info out. Seriously, never hand over any details to these fraudsters. They should be locked up forever, honestly.
