When I probed a little further, she rambled on about how she could extend the warranty on my new appliance. However, once I pressed her for more details, she suddenly started making excuses and assured me she’d remove my number from their calling list! Quite the experience, I must say!

I received a rather impolite call from a chap claiming to be associated with something called Home Shield. When I requested him to refrain from calling me again and to remove my details from his list, he retorted that I needed to “ask him politely.” Quite baffling, isn’t it? I do wonder why the Telephone Preference Service didn’t catch this nuisance.
