Absolutely appalling scam! The caller ID said "Support Through Court" from Bristol, but let me tell you, the accent was definitely not local. They claimed to be from BT Openreach, insisting my account had been compromised because I had supposedly "downloaded viruses". Well, newsflash - I don’t even use BT Openreach, or have wifi for that matter! So, I thought I’d have a bit of fun and waste her time. When I asked her for my name, she dodged the question, insisting on "verification" from me instead. She pried into my devices and how I settle my bills. I responded with cheeky and contradictory replies just to see how far she'd go. Her tone became increasingly hostile as I found the whole situation amusing. Next thing I know, I've been transferred to another caller! They tried to intimidate me, but I continued with my nonsense answers, reiterating my request for my name. She spouted some initials from an email address that weren't even close to correct and then started shouting that I’d been hacked. At that point, I just praised her for her pathetic attempt at scamming and promptly ended the call, blocking the number. What a shambles!
