Any1 with O2 or broadband genie? I called them for a PAC code and now i keep gettin like 2-3 calls daily from loads of different area codes but it’s all the same rubbish. If i knew who ran these pest call firms, i'd send them a big parcel of crap. It’s mostly older and vulnerable people who end up fallin for these scams. The govt couldn’t care less tho. Proper messed up world we live in.

Got a call earlier about some money deal I supposedly had way back in 2009. When I asked them which bank or firm had passed on my info cos that would be a big data breach and I’d be reporting them both to the courts, they just ended the call.

They called me yesterday but I didn't pick up. Got another call today, saying I owed money from a credit or loan. Then she asked if I had taken out a loan back in 2009. I told her if that was true, they wouldn’t need to ask me that. She quickly said goodbye and ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

This is pretty worrying. Got a missed call from this number at 11:53 and since then, I’ve had 5 scam calls from three different numbers. They all used my name. The last one was a recorded message from Barclays about a security breach on my account, using my name too - but I don’t even have an account with Barclays.

Got a call at 5:03pm, it rang just a couple times then cut off. Seems like my number’s been added to some list because I keep getting calls from random UK landlines doing the same thing, ringing twice then going silent. I just don’t pick up since I don’t know who’s calling.

Got calls from 0117 325 7729 loads of times one after another. I rang back to ask them to stop calling but the woman on the line just hung up on me. Tried again and a bloke picked up this time. He wouldn’t say which company he was from and claimed he was in Manchester, even tho the number is actually from Bristol. When I politely asked him 3 times what their business was, he got really rude and then cut me off. Seems like a dodgy set-up, maybe even worse. Honestly, best to just ignore and if you can, block these numbers.

Got a ring from this number a minute ago. Some guy was on about me having a refund from Barclaycard or MBNA or something like that. I told him nope, not me, and he just cut the call. The weird bit? He actually knew my name. Proper dodgy scammer, that one!

I just got a call from some bloke who seemed to know my name, saying I was owed a refund from my bank. Then he asked if I was with Lloyds, RBS, MBNA, or something like that. I pointed out that if he was really sorting out a refund, he’d already have to know my bank, and frankly sounded like a scammer to me. He kept insisting, three times, that he wasn’t a scammer. I told him that if this was legit, the bank would be the one calling and I’d expect it or be chasing it myself. Before I could finish, he just hung up. Felt exactly like those PPI or injury claim scams.
