The caller exhibits suspicious behaviour such as laughter, refusal to hold conversation, and claims related to government debt write-offs. Blocking the numbers may reduce calls but does not fully prevent them. The activity is likely linked to lead generation for dubious debt-related services, with potential breaches of data privacy. Users are advised to avoid engagement, continue blocking, and consider reporting suspicious companies to regulatory authorities for investigation.
Reports on phone number 01173257134
4 yearsOn the 6th of April, 2022, I received a phone call from the number 01173257134. The caller’s accent hinted at Indian roots. They asked to chat with a person who wasn’t available at that moment and seemed quite unwilling to provide any additional information. I promptly decided to block that number. Later in the day, another call came through from 01173256959. I chose not to pick up and swiftly blocked that number as well.4 yearsI can't believe it, but this number keeps ringing me incessantly! It's really quite baffling. I’ve chosen not to pick up, yet it persists in calling me every two to three minutes. What a peculiar situation! 😂4 yearsThis number has bombarded me with calls-fifteen times in just under a day! I picked up once, but the chap on the other end was utterly incomprehensible. However, I did catch the phrase 'investigation department' before he burst into fits of laughter with his chums. Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!4 yearsI’ve taken to just picking up the phone and remaining quiet, as it seems that if you respond and there’s no chatter, it’s invariably a nuisance call. Yet, it baffles me that I’ve been inundated with calls from Bristol on two separate numbers in the past couple of days! I've blocked them both, yet they persist in ringing. It’s quite maddening how they manage to evade the block!Bristol4 years0117 325 7134 and 0117 325 6959 keep ringing me over and over again. It's really frustrating! Whenever I pick up, they just hang up. Quite tiresome, to say the least!4 yearsI keep getting hounded by two persistent numbers: 0117 325 6959 and 0117 325 7134 - do yourself a favour and block both without hesitation! These are calls from some dodgy offshore call centre aiming to peddle a debt relief scheme. If anyone fancies a bit of mischief, why not fill out their application with made-up information? It'll be amusing to see which UK firm they pass your ‘fabricated details’ on to, and from there, you could report that company to the Financial Conduct Authority. This could really put a spanner in their works and hopefully stop them from using that offshore lot to reel in leads.UKFinancial Conduct Authority4 yearsthis number 0117 325 7134 has been ringing me a lot today. ive had 4 calls from it already at 17:28, 18:27, 18:56, and 19:15. i didnt pick up since i dont recognise it and there was no voicemail left either. looks like it’s not something urgent. i usually block unknown numbers from work on my voicemail anyway.4 yearsGot a call from some dodgy debt agency the other day, sounded totally fake to me. Definitely felt like a scam. Wouldn’t trust them one bit.4 yearsThey only knew my surname and phone number but started offering me a new contract, including some extras for £10 a month, probably trying to trick me into giving them my personal info.4 yearsGot a couple of calls tonight from the same number, but no message left. Picked up the last one and as soon as I said hi, they just dropped the call. Seems like it’s probably just a telemarketer or some sort of scam, since they didn’t bother to leave any details.4 yearsI received a call from an American-sounding voice claiming to be from something called National Debt. What’s that all about?National Debt4 yearsStruggled to grasp what they were saying, as their English was quite poor. It was all rather baffling, to be honest. They mentioned something about my children’s debts being in my name, which is puzzling since I don’t have any children at all!4 yearsI inquired about my financial obligations, but I can confirm that I have none. The English spoken was rather lacking, unfortunately.4 yearsThis one isn't authentic, seems to be masquerading as someone who's into credit scams.4 yearsAbsolutely dreadful English! The chap insisted that the government could wipe out 70% of debts and halt interest rates, or some such nonsense. When I expressed my disbelief, he simply hung up on me. Quite telling, if you ask me!4 yearsI've put a stop to his calls, yet somehow he keeps ringing through. I mentioned I'd contact the Information Commissioner’s Office regarding GDPR, and he had the audacity to claim he was more knowledgeable about it than I am! What an utter bother! I've blocked his number, yet he's somehow managed to slip through the cracks three times already. I simply decline his calls and cross my fingers that he eventually tires of it.Information CommissionerOfficeSubmit Your Own Report (0117 325 7134)
