01173257134 Summary (Read all comments)
Phone number ☎️ 01173257134 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance caller originating from an offshore call centre, often using poor English and a fake debt relief offer to solicit personal information. These calls are relentless, sometimes coming multiple times within hours, and tend to disconnect or hang up if engaged. The caller exhibits suspicious behaviour such as laughter, refusal to hold conversation, and claims related to government debt write-offs. Blocking the numbers may reduce calls but does not fully prevent them. The activity is likely linked to lead generation for dubious debt-related services, with potential breaches of data privacy. Users are advised to avoid engagement, continue blocking, and consider reporting suspicious companies to regulatory authorities for investigation.
Reports on phone number 01173257134
4 yearsOn the 6th of April, 2022, I received a phone call from the number 01173257134. The caller’s accent hinted at Indian roots. They asked to chat with a person who wasn’t available at that moment and seemed quite unwilling to provide any additional information. I promptly decided to block that number. Later in the day, another call came through from 01173256959. I chose not to pick up and swiftly blocked that number as well.4 yearsI kept getting calls from this number non-stop. It was so annoying. I just didn't pick up but they kept ringing me every 2 or 3 minutes, it was crazy! :D4 yearsIn under a day, I've gotten like 15 calls from this number. I picked up once and couldn't really catch what they were saying, but I did hear something about an investigation department before the bloke started cracking up with his friends. Proper strange behaviour.4 yearsI usually just pick up and stay quiet when the phone rings, cos if no one talks after you say hello, it’s gotta be spam. But for the past couple of days, I’ve been getting calls from Bristol from two different numbers - this one and another. I blocked both but they keep ringing anyway, which is really annoying.Bristol4 yearsThese two numbers, 0117 325 7134 and 0117 325 6959, keep ringing me over and over. Whenever I pick up, they just hang up straight away. It's really irritating.4 yearsI keep getting calls from two different numbers, 0117 325 6959 and 0117 325 7134, so you’ll want to block both. It’s some call centre overseas pushing a debt relief scheme. If someone’s got the patience, you could fill out their whole application with made-up info just to see which UK company gets your fake details. Then you can report that company to the Financial Conduct Authority. That should put a stop to them using that offshore call centre to hunt for leads.UKFinancial Conduct Authority4 yearsthis number 0117 325 7134 has been ringing me a lot today. ive had 4 calls from it already at 17:28, 18:27, 18:56, and 19:15. i didnt pick up since i dont recognise it and there was no voicemail left either. looks like it’s not something urgent. i usually block unknown numbers from work on my voicemail anyway.4 yearsGot a call from some dodgy debt agency the other day, sounded totally fake to me. Definitely felt like a scam. Wouldn’t trust them one bit.4 yearsThey only knew my surname and phone number but started offering me a new contract, including some extras for £10 a month, probably trying to trick me into giving them my personal info.4 yearsGot a couple of calls tonight from the same number, but no message left. Picked up the last one and as soon as I said hi, they just dropped the call. Seems like it’s probably just a telemarketer or some sort of scam, since they didn’t bother to leave any details.4 yearsI received a call from an American-sounding voice claiming to be from something called National Debt. What’s that all about?National Debt4 yearsThe person on the phone couldn’t really speak English well and it was quite tricky to understand them. They kept saying I had debts from my children, but I don’t even have any kids!4 yearsThey called asking about some debt I supposedly owe, which I definitely don’t. Their English was pretty bad too.4 yearsThis feels really fake, like they’re trying to scam me with some kind of credit fraud scheme.4 yearsThe caller's English was awful. He claimed the government could wipe out 70% of your debt and cancel all interest charges. When I told him I was skeptical, he just cut the call. Pretty much says everything you need to know.4 yearsI put him on the block list, yet he keeps ringing me anyway. When I mentioned reporting him under GDPR, he actually claimed to be more knowledgeable about it than me. So annoying! Even after blocking, he’s got past it three times now. I just ignore the calls and hope he loses interest eventually.Information CommissionerOfficeSubmit Your Own Report (0117 325 7134)
