Got a call where the person already knew my name and address, probably to sound more convincing. They said it was about renewing my boiler insurance, acting like the old one had run out. When I asked which firm they were from, they just dropped the call. Felt like they guessed I smelled a scam. Everything about it seemed dodgy to me.

I told them it made no difference if I lived in a tent or a mansion - the prices are ridiculous - and I didn't appreciate them wanting my details, probably to hand over to scammers. I just hung up and blocked the number, just like the others, but I’m certain they’ll ring back from a different one soon enough.
