Got a call from a woman named Lucy, sounded like she had a bit of an accent, maybe not local. She said she had a few questions but wasn’t trying to sell me anything. Asked if I’d got any PPI claims paid out. Felt dodgy straight away, seemed like she just wanted my info. I told her I wasn’t interested, and she hung up pretty quick after that!

Yesterday, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who claimed he had a couple of quick questions for me. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he kept pushing, saying it would only take a moment. When he realised I wasn’t going to entertain it, he hung up before I could say more. I blocked the number straight away, but they called back three times this afternoon in quick succession. They didn’t manage to get through, but I reckon they’ll have a go again from a different number soon enough.

Got another call earlier from some sketchy number that looked like it came from miles away, probably nowhere near where they claimed. The person was trying to get info about any unsecured debts I might have. I told them, yeah, my unsecured debts are in the millions, but at least I’m not the one waiting to get paid. Guess what? They quickly hung up after that. This is about the sixth time this week I’ve been hassled by these lot. Really feel blessed to have these charming fraudsters looking out for my best interests, huh?

Over the last couple of days, my wife’s phone has been buzzed at least a dozen times by the same number. Each time, there’s just this weird voicemail with heavy breathing, no message or anything! Quite unsettling, really.

Total rip-off!! Got hit with...believe it or not...28 missed calls and one voicemail. The message was from someone with a strong Indian accent, pretending they could sort out my debts like some sort of financial saviour. Honestly, if I wasn’t so tempted to just block them immediately, I'd let the calls keep coming just to try and set some kind of daily missed call record. Seriously, do NOT pick up these calls, just block 'em right away!!

Somebody phoned me saying they were from a housing repair company, but I looked them up while still on the call and found no such business. I also searched the number and it's definitely a scam. This particular number has rung me 14 times today, each time pretending to be a different firm. I’ve made up my mind that if they ring again, I’ll start blowing a whistle into the phone to either shock them or drive them nuts - whatever works to put the scammers off. Honestly, it’ll make me feel better either way!

I know you mentioned 0116 being Leicester's area code, but from what I've seen, almost every Leicester number begins with a 2 after the code. This one here kicks off with a 4, which seems odd for that region.

I got a call from this number showing Leicester. When I picked up and said hello a couple of times, all I got was an automated voice saying goodbye. No clue who it was or if they were recording me, but it felt dodgy. I'm definitely blocking it now.

When I picked up the phone, the person just ended the call straight away. I looked up the number afterwards and there’s close to 2000 reports all saying bad things, seems like some dodgy business listing or something.

They told me I could make money through some FOREX trading thing. So I put in my cash. When I tried to take out my earnings, they suddenly said I had to pay a 22% tax before anything else. After I paid, I never saw a penny back. Complete con!
