Somebody rang me claiming to be from healthcare. I asked where they were calling from and they said London. But when I pointed out the 01164 number they were using definitely isn’t a London code, they just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, said his name was Raymond and that he was calling from London. He claimed he was calling to check on pensioners, which was odd since he clearly had the wrong person - I’m definitely not a pensioner. He kept asking about what I do daily and my meds but didn’t seem to buy what I was saying. After a good while of this back and forth nonsense, he just ended the call. Strange experience overall.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from some healthcare firm (feedback, he said). I asked him to tell me who exactly he wanted, since a few people here share the same last name. He mentioned a woman who died a few years back. Then he asked for my name, but I didn’t want to give it, and told him I was feeling cold. Next thing, he wanted me to sing a song for him! I said a firm NO and just ended the call.

Over the past few days, I’ve had a polite lady, who sounded Asian, ring me three times. The last call was today. She’s been asking about our health, saying she’s our health care worker and trying to get details about our condition. It all seemed a bit off, so we checked with our GP’s office. They told us no one’s been assigned to look after us. We told this to the woman on her second call, mentioning the GP’s confirmation as well. Today, on her third attempt, we firmly repeated what we said before: there’s been no appointment made and she needs to stop contacting us immediately.

I got a call from someone claiming to be an after-care nurse checking in on an elderly relative who’s just had cancer treatment. They already had the person’s home address and birthday, which was a bit unsettling. They said they’d arrange to send morning meds but said it would cost £5. Then they asked for bank details and the call was cut off right after. I have no clue how they got hold of such private info, feels like they might be tapping into the NHS somehow.

Got a call from a woman with a really thick Asian accent, couldn’t make out most of what she was saying. She wanted to speak to someone in the house by their name. When I asked who she was, she launched into some long speech and then asked if I was 92 years old. Told her it’s none of her business a few times before she hung up. She called again the next day but I just ignored it and she ended up hanging up herself.

Got a call from 01164737851 around 12:26 today, and the woman on the line had a foreign accent which made me suspicious right away. She kept asking about my health and if I still enjoyed my morning walks, which was odd because how would she even know I go walking every day? I asked what my walks had to do with her and she said she was "inquiring about your help." I told her I was fine and hung up quickly before she could pry for more info. I’ve blocked the number since. Feels like a scam to me, so don’t bother answering or just hang up straight away.

She said it was from their database and when I pressed her on where that came from, she claimed I saw their advert on telly! She kept going on about being keen to help older people, but I already knew my name and that my number wasn’t even listed publicly, so I just stopped replying. After I went quiet, she ended the call, probably realised I wasn’t interested.

I stayed polite the whole time but it didn’t seem to register that I wasn’t interested. They asked loads about my health and how old I am. They were fairly polite, though their accent, which sounded Asian or Eastern, made it a bit tricky to catch everything.
