01164735480 rang me with some Indian lady speaking in a thick accent claiming she was from 'UK benefits', honestly couldn't make out half of what she said. This isn’t the first time those muppets have called me, and trust me, they’re all scammers aiming at older folks who get age-related benefits. I’m not one of them, but they definitely prey on the vulnerable. Just a heads up to watch out!

Just got a call from this number. They had the number hidden but gave it when I asked. The person said he was from Microsoft, but when I asked some questions, he suddenly hung up. Sounds like an Indian guy on the line.

So yet again, this bloke from India calling himself John Phillips rings me up about some hacked ‘account’. When I asked him what exactly he meant, he rattled off a long number that’s definitely not connected to my computer. He warned if I didn’t fix it now, he’d cancel my Microsoft licence. Honestly, I’d rather take that threat than waste cash trying to fix a problem that isn’t real.

I received a voicemail instructing me to ring 01163183604, alleging that my bank details have been compromised and that funds are being withdrawn from my account. This came on the heels of several calls purporting to be from Microsoft, insisting they needed to access my computer to eliminate supposed hackers. It’s clear these scammers are getting increasingly frantic in their attempts.

Got a voicemail telling me to ring 01163183604 saying that someone’s been messing with our bank info and withdrawing cash. This comes after loads of calls from people pretending to be from Microsoft, asking to get into my computer to fix supposed hackers. Feels like they’re really running out of ideas now.

I was at me mum’s earlier and got a call from a man with an Indian accent, calling himself Joseph Matthews. He spun the usual tale about her PC being hacked and that they’d revoke her Microsoft licence even though it’s a nearly new machine. Before doing anything, I looked him up and found this site. When I rang him back, he started getting rude as soon as I mentioned the police. He even told me to go ahead, then weirdly just hung up and wouldn’t chat anymore.

Got a call from a guy named Michael, sounded Indian. Said my PC was being hacked overseas for some illegal gambling stuff and told me to turn it on. Asked for his number so I could call back, and even gave me some ID. Proper sneaky. I've texted them back saying I'm reporting to the cops.

If these crooks have locked your computer with a password, it’s probably "que". They won’t quit ringing me, loads of times every day. I’ve just started ignoring my phone altogether.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft. They said if I didn’t follow their instructions, the police would get involved because apparently I was letting hackers access my PC. I ended up talking to three different people, and they got pretty hostile. Right at the beginning, I asked for their phone number so I could verify if they were really from Microsoft. I told them I’d contact the police since I thought their claims were dodgy.

I received a rather alarming phone call from someone who claimed to be from Microsoft. They insisted that if I didn’t comply with their demands, they would be forced to involve the authorities, alleging that I was permitting hackers to access my computer. Throughout the conversation, I spoke with three different individuals, each becoming more belligerent as time went on. At the outset, I requested their contact number so I could verify their identity, insisting I would reach out to the police, as I strongly suspected they were engaging in some sort of scam.

Got a call from some Michael Williams who said he was from Microsoft. The number he gave was 01163183604. He told me to ring back or they'd take away my licence. Total scam, I mean Microsoft’s annoying enough but even they wouldn’t stoop this low.

One of my mates got a call from some bloke named John Williams who said he was from Microsoft. Apparently, he claimed the licence key on his laptop had been hacked and was being used on gambling sites. When my mate said he’d have to check with the IT team, John Williams insisted he needed a callback on 011631 83604 ASAP, before 11 am, or else the licence would be cancelled permanently. I rang the number just for a laugh, it kept ringing forever then went to voicemail so I left a message. I’ll keep the site posted if they ever reply.

This number has called me 3 times over the past couple of days; twice of them right at 7 in the morning just like others have said. When I pressed a button it showed 01163 183 604 but that number actually links to 01952 550 666. Both numbers seem to be based in the UK around Leicester and Telford, but I reckon they could be redirected from overseas. My tip is to either ignore the calls or warn them you're recording and will be taking it to the police.

Got a ring from this number today, some bloke calling himself Thomas with a really obvious Indian accent. He got proper annoyed when I refused to say who owned the account and reckoned if I didn’t call him back in 5 minutes my computer would be locked. That was about 16 minutes ago! Luckily, I’m pretty clued up about these scams, so I just laughed the whole way through. No chance I’m calling back, and can’t wait for the next call from these jokers, I’m sure it’ll come soon enough!

Got a call from Michael James claiming to be from Microsoft Security - total scam, don’t trust it! He gave me this number so I could verify him, pretty slick tactic and could easily fool folks. I chatted with him for 36 minutes straight till he started swearing and hung up - well, atleast that’s 36 minutes he wasn’t targeting someone who’d actually fall for it.

Got a call from a bloke named Kevin who sounded Indian. Rang me thrice, kept saying I was logged into my computer when I really wasn't. He was pretty miffed when I told him I'm with Apple and then I just ended the call! Seriously, don’t get caught out by this and never share any info.

Got a call from a bloke named Michael James, but his accent was clearly Indian. He got really rude and annoyed very fast, which you don’t usually expect from Microsoft. When I ended the call, he rang right back and started shouting again. Honestly thinking about switching to Apple now :-)

Had a similar thing happen to me on 11th Feb 2015 about 8 in the morning. The caller ID showed 001952550666 but when I answered they said their number was 01163183604 and gave some address in Leicester. They were really pushy and a proper nuisance. Makes me worried for anyone more trusting who might get caught out by these sorts of scams. For me it was just a right pain and waste of time.

Got a call from someone in India saying hackers had broken into my computer and asking me to open stuff. He claimed he was from Microsoft and rattled off some numbers to seem legit. Got a call from a bloke with a strong accent who said he was 'Peter Anderson'. He asked me to check my PC, supposedly running Windows 8.1. When I told him I didn't know of any such computer, he quickly spouted a 'product key' and then insisted it might actually be Windows 7. He also gave me a phone number and an address in Leicester to verify who he was.

A woman called Janet, claiming to be from "Microsoft," phoned me with the usual nonsense. I called her out on lying and she gave me this number to call back: 01163183604. When I asked for the company address, she said 207 Melton Road, Leicester LE4 6QT. I quickly checked it on Google Earth and asked why Microsoft would be renting a spot above an estate agent! Then a bloke came on the line, insisting they were truly from Microsoft but now saying they were based in Reading. I knew from the start - these lot are nothing but fibbers.

Had a similar thing happen to me, and I stupidly gave them access to my PC. It only dawned on me it was dodgy when they asked for payment for a new licence. I told them no, being on a pension and all, but then some manager got on and started threatening to cancel my licence and wipe all my software. I tried hanging up but couldn’t, and sure enough, he deleted everything, leaving me locked out of my own computer. Luckily, I've got a mate who’s good with computers and he’s gonna help me fix it.

Got a call from an Indian bloke named Thomas Williams claiming to be from Microsoft. He said hackers were using my computer for dodgy stuff. I told him we don’t even connect our gaming PC to the internet, but he kept insisting it was hacked. I asked for his phone number and he gave me 01163183604. I told him I’d check with my husband and call back. He warned if I didn’t ring back, our Microsoft licence would be blocked for good. Obviously, no way am I calling him again.

I had a similar situation where the caller wanted me to turn my PC on, but when I refused, he said it would get blocked straight away and I'd need to spend £90 to get a new one. I felt something was fishy, so I checked with Microsoft, and they confirmed they never call customers like that.
