I honestly don’t know how they managed to get hold of our German phone number - only a handful of places have it, like maybe 5 tops. Feels like someone’s info was leaked or sold, but I can’t say exactly where from. The call showed up without the UK’s country code, which is odd, but I suppose it’s pretty easy nowadays to fake numbers. It was definitely one of those HMRC tax scam calls.
