On 6th August 2020, I got a call from number 1033 but there was just silence on the other end. Pretty weird, no idea what the point of that was.

Got a call on 31st of July, pretty much like what others mentioned here. It was a scam, some people pretending to be from HRME and asking for cash. Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call from a US number saying I was being sued by HMRC. Total rubbish, obviously a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I owed money. I answered with the phone i use just for dodgy calls and even blew a whistle down the line at them. Didn't take any nonsense from those scammers!

I missed the call and by the time I picked up, they’d already ended it. Had a look up the number afterwards, cheers for that.

Got a message claiming I’m being taken to court for selling raw food from a place under my name. It told me to press one, but I just deleted it right away. Then, about 5 minutes later, another message popped up from 01212795468 saying the same thing. Weird!

Got a voicemail from someone who said they were Alice from HMRC, telling me I needed to do something urgent and to press 1 to speak to the person handling the matter. Sounds like the typical scam. Just to be safe, I rang HMRC myself and they said everything was fine with my account. Be careful with calls like this, they might be trying to charge you a lot.
