I got a call at 6:30 in the morning from someone claiming to be Microsoft, which really startled me. After that, they kept ringing every 30 minutes until midday, but each time no one spoke and they just hung up. At noon, a person finally answered and I told them off to take my number off their list because I was really tired of the constant buzzing all day. The guy apologised saying “sorry Ma’am” and then I didn’t get any more calls from that number. Though, annoyingly, I did get a couple more calls later on, but from different phone numbers.

The calls coming from 0116 304 0xxx are actually from Localphone LTD, they’re using internet technology to connect the calls to call centres abroad. Honestly, if more folks here reported them to the ICO like I did, they wouldn’t be able to carry on for long.

This lot have crossed the line from just being annoying to straight up harassing me, constantly ringing every quarter of an hour, mostly in the evening when folks are settling down. I’ve blocked at least four numbers that all began with 011630406, but they keep switching the last two digits every day to dodge the blocks. I haven’t picked up any of their calls after checking here first, but honestly, I’m desperate to find a way to put an end to this company completely.

Today alone, I've been getting calls from that number around 25 times, starting at 7:52 this morning. I’ve asked my network, Plusnet, but they say there’s nothing they can do to block it. Does anyone know a way to make it stop?

Got calls from this number twice, once just before 7 and again shortly after. Both times, I wasn't quick enough to pick up. It's proper stressful getting a ring so early, especially when I worry about my elderly folks. When I finally do get a word with whoever it is, they'll be in for a piece of my mind. Honestly, these sorts of calls should be completely stopped.

I got called like 18 times today from the same number so I finally picked up. The woman on the line, who sounded Asian, was asking for my wife’s ex who hasn’t been around for nearly two decades. Got a call from someone claiming to be from the telephone preference service. They already had my name, address and postcode which seemed odd. When they asked for my bank info, I told them to never ring me again and ended the call. Proper nuisance!

Been getting nonstop calls today, already had three by midday. The latest was from some woman claiming to be Lisa from TPS, sounded like she was from India or somewhere in Asia. Didn’t let her get through her spiel at all. Told her to remove our number from wherever they have it, and not to ring back. These calls should seriously be banned, it’s just too much. Got a call from a woman speaking with a strong Indian accent. She wanted to talk to Mr ******** - that’s me. I asked her straight up who she was, but she just kept asking if I was Mr ********. I asked again who was calling but she wouldn't say. Just kept going round in circles, so I ended the call. Looked up this number online and loads of others had the same experience. Some bloke named Patrick, claiming to be from TPS, gave me a bell asking if I still get those Nuscience calls (whatever that means). I pretended to be interested, just to see where it was going. Apparently, they offer an upgrade!! He said from tomorrow, no more calls. But when he started prying about my visa debit card expiry, I cut him off with a firm “this is total rubbish, Patrick”. Then, as if nothing, he called back just 5 seconds later. I wasn’t having any of it this time and told him I’d report to the actual TPS. Weirdly, he never bothered to ring a third time. :)

When I tried to block the last one by adding it to junk, BT Protect said it couldn’t do it as it didn’t know the number. Creepy thing is, they knew my full name, address, and even almost nailed my bank and sort code - just a couple digits off. On the second ring, the guy introduced himself as Aled Jones, but with a thick Asian accent. Wish i'd asked if he could belt out a tune! He kept going on about blocking nuisance calls, so i told him, "You’ve already bothered me once today." He said, "Yes madam, that’s why i'm calling again." I replied, "Well, calling me twice a day is kinda the nuisance here…" And then he just hung up on me!

Got a call earlier and as soon as the person used an accent I couldn’t place, calling me “ma’am” in some sort of Asian tone, I got suspicious straight away. They somehow knew my full name, my address and even details about others in my household. Claimed they were from a ‘TP Service’ and offered a lifetime ban on nuisance calls at no charge, supposedly aimed at protecting older people. It felt really creepy. I told them to stop calling and to take me off their list. But no sooner had I hung up, they rang right back - really insistent. It’s quite scary how much info these folks seem to have. I don’t understand why the TPService doesn’t block these calls when they’re from UK numbers?

It’s really messing with me and loads of others too. I have to pick up in case it’s something important, but it’s always some daft telemarketer. If you tell these jokers to stop, they just get worse, so it’s a pointless battle.
