Someone called pretending to be from CareCo and began asking about a recent order I apparently made (which I actually did). They started chatting about pain relief products and then mentioned some kind of patches. I told them I wasn’t interested. When I asked what kind of patches they were, they said CBD ones. I told them I’d read studies showing that the amount of CBD allowed in UK products is too low to actually have much effect, and it’s mostly just placebo. Then I blocked the number.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with a care company, said she worked in health care for them. She started asking loads of questions out of the blue. Then she asked if I'd heard of CBI patches and if I wanted to buy them. That's when alarm bells really started ringing for me. Every patch I've ever been offered before was latex, so this seemed off. Just a heads up for others - all those questions are probably just a trick to get you to sign up for something and end up taking your money.

They could leave a voicemail, but they never do. My experience with Snowden is that I called to get a free sample, ended up buying something, paid for it, but never got the item and still haven't got my money back. I've been getting nonstop calls from this Snowden Healthcare lot. I bought something from them ages ago, months back actually. Luckily I can block numbers on my phone, because they rang me like 13 times in just three days. Even today, Easter Saturday, they kept ringing. Clearly desperate for business but honestly, this constant hassling puts me right off. Someone oughta tell them pestering people like this isn't the way to get customers. Proper annoying and feels a bit like harassment!

I can vouch for the authenticity of “Snowdon Healthcare.” My wife purchased a cream from them a few years back, and it seems they've taken a rather odd approach to their telephone marketing. Time and again, my phone rings with their number, and they seem to have a habit of cutting the call the moment I answer. Every so often, I actually get to speak with someone, and they always inquire about my wife, despite my repeated reminders that she sadly left us almost three years ago. It’s quite bewildering how persistently they contact me for her, almost daily!

I received a call from this number today, but since I have an answering machine, I generally listen to the messages directly from my handset to see if it's someone familiar reaching out. If it's a stranger, I allow my answering machine to take the call, and then I can delete the message later. This time, however, the caller didn’t bother to leave any message at all. When I dialled 1471 to check, it revealed the same number.
