Someone must’ve grabbed my info from a recent online purchase cause they knew everything - my name, address, card number and even the bank. They sounded so convincing, giving me all the details about “suspicious activity” on my account and stuff. But when they asked me to say my date of birth, I got suspicious straight away! I ended the call and checked with John Lewis using their app and they said they never rang me and there were no unusual charges. Cancelled my card just in case and fingers crossed it’s all sorted now.John Lewis2 yearsGot a call this morning from someone saying they were from my bank’s credit card team about some suspicious charges. They couldn’t specify which of my two cards was involved. They did know a few personal details, but had the wrong email address, which made me doubtful right away. I didn’t feel comfortable giving out my card number to "cancel" it. The caller kept pushing hard for the info.
